Player of the Year: JaJuan Johnson

Surprise! I didn't select Jared Sullinger of Ohio State.
JaJuan Johnson is most deserving of this award. This man has shown something each and every year. He's a winner and he can do a lot of things on a basketball court.
He had to go another season without his frontcourt mate, Robbie Hummel. That left a lot on the shoulders of this Senior. He never disappointed. He gave his all each and every time he entered an arena.
He is BossHawk's Big Ten Player of the Year.
Most Valuable Player: David Lighty

POY and MVP! Yes, there is a difference.
David Lighty has proven to be the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player. He epitomizes what a team's MVP should be. He leads by example on the floor.
Never would Ohio State achieve what they did this season without this fifth year senior's unselfish leadership.
He leaves it all on the floor. The Buckeyes rally to his "war cry".
It makes no difference whether David scores six or twenty-six you feel his impact on each and every game.
When you go to war you want five David Lighty's in your army.
Defensive Player of the Year: Aaron Craft

Don't let the rosy cheeks fool you. This young man is the extreme pest. He is on the opposing player like "white on rice".
Aaron Craft provides relentless pressure on the ball. He leads the conference in steals as a freshman.
Opposing coaches and players can't wait for this guy to make his exit.
Coach Thad Matta hopes that is at least three more seasons away.
Big Ten Rookie of the Year: Duhhhh?

What do I say that has not already been said.
How long can they keep him in Columbus?
Seeing how both parents are educators, I think it's safe to say Jared will be in Columbus at least through next season.
