NFL Offseason Two-a-Days: The Seattle Seahawks
I am now resuming my NFL Two-A-Days series that originated from ESPN's Mike & Mike. The series will continue through this coming Thursday, with previews of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers.
For today, I'll be previewing the Seahawks and Ravens off-seasons. The Seahawks are up first:
5. Was Pete Carroll's first season with Seahawks a success or failure?

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Winning the NFC West wasn't much of an accomplishment in 2010. However, they weren't expected to do much and knocked the defending champions out of the playoffs. So because of the playoff win, I will call it a success.
4. Is WR Mike Williams a guy to watch or a one-year wonder?
It's always difficult to tell these sorts of things.
It partly depends on if he continues working hard or regresses back to his old form, that got him out of the NFL. The other question here would be will defensive coordinators figure him out.
It just depends on the answers to the two previous questions I mentioned. I won't predict one outcome or the other, because it isn't fair for me to make a judgement like that.
3. Who is Seattle's best player on the defensive side of the ball?
David Hawthorne led the team in tackles with 106. I'm not going to tell you he is the answer to this question though.
The best player on the Seahawks is Lofa Tatupu. He is a young, pro-bowl caliber player. His production has went down somewhat since 2007, but I'd still consider him the best defensive Seahawks player. I will also say Earl Thomas is inching towards this title.
2. What is the Seahawks' top priority in the NFL Draft or free agency?
Defensive tackles Brandon Mebane and Colin Cole were sidelined a combine nine games due to injury. It would improve the Seahawks defense if they got a big nose tackle like player. Now I realize they run a 4-3, but they need somebody to eat up space in the middle. Jurrell Casey from USC may be a good fit for the defensive tackle need. It doesn't hurt that he is familiar with Pete Carroll, from Carroll's days at USC.
The offensive line was plagued with injuries and the 'Hawks have two starters (Sean Lockerlear and Chris Spencer) likely to enter free agency. An offensive tackle maybe in the cards here, and USC's Tyron Smith could be the pick. Like Casey, Smith is also familiar with Pete Carroll.
1. After a 7-9 season, is the Seahawks' stock rising or falling?
The Seahawks are in a bad division, with a decent quarterback and a young team. So, I'm going to say rising.
