Arsenal FC Rumours: Real Madrid, Chelsea in for Fabregas, but Should He Leave?
Reports claim Real Madrid is ready to launch a £50 million bid for Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas.
Barcelona ruled themselves out of running by announcing that any possible deal for Fabregas is ‘dead’. The Blaugrana had been pursuing their former trainee for the last two years. But Wenger’s resolve of holding on to his talisman looks to have, finally, paid dividends.
On the other hand, Real manager Jose Mourinho knows that he needs Global superstars to wrestle the title from Barcelona, and Fabregas fits perfectly into this category.
Roman Abramovic also is reportedly interested in bringing the Arsenal skipper to Chelsea. The Blues have almost conceded the title this season, and Roman would like to refresh his ageing midfield.
So, it eventually becomes a three horse race. Come Summer-2011, Fabregas’ future would be again in the air.
Would he land in Madrid? Or would he do the cardinal sin of moving across London? Or would he prefer staying with the Gunners?

Fabregas has been hailed as the perfect midfielder, with an ability to score goals. He represents the heart and soul of current Gunners side.
Since Wenger signed him from Barca’s youth academy in 2003 for £0.25 million, the Spaniard has endeared himself to the Gunner fans.
A leader from the front; a winner through and through; and a great believer in the Wenger’s passing style of football- Fabregas has already cemented his place in Arsenal folklore.
But, on a sore note, he has just won a solitary FA Cup since arrival at Arsenal eight years ago. While he may win the League Cup this time round, it’s hardly anything to show for the talent he has.
In case Arsenal fail to win the premiership this season, it would put a serious question mark over Fabregas’ future at the Emirates. This is not to offend his love for the club, but- considering his trophy collection in the Int’l arena- his patience might just start to run out.
Consequently, it becomes increasingly important for Arsene Wenger, and Arsenal, to get the Premier League title back to Emirates- just to make sure Fabregas’ loyalty isn’t tested.

Current Premiership Champions Chelsea is next in line of suitors for Fabregas.
Their trophy cabinet, coupled with Abramovic’s billions provides an attractive option, in case Fabregas decides to move.
Chelsea has already splashed the cash on Torres in January, and would be restricted in their spending in the summer. But a summer clear-out is also on the cards, with Obi Mikel, Ferreira, Ivanovic and Anelka among the ones to move out.
That would very well make way for the mammoth bid required to transfer Fabregas to Stamford Bridge.
While Chelsea would represent a slightly better prospect than Arsenal for the Championship, they will have out-bid Real Madrid- not an impossible task for Abramovic considering his recent investment on Torres.
The prospect of playing alongside Lampard would also be mouth-watering for Fabregas. The only question that remains is whether Fabregas would risk being virtually slaughtered in London by forcing a move to Chelsea?

With ominous signs that Barcelona are running away with the La Liga title, Real Madrid seem to have already started next season’s preparation.
Reports suggest they are willing to offer £35 million to bring the Spanish World Cup winner to the Bernabeu.
With Int’l team-mate Xabi Alonso already plying his trade for Los Blancos, Fabregas would have an added incentive to join Real. Furthermore, joining the most successful club in the history of European Football could also sway his decision.

Final Word: What’s best for Fabregas? Where should he go? Or rather, where would he go?
While Arsenal is Fabregas’ home, Chelsea, at the moment, do represent a slight improvement in title chances and pay packet. Real, on the other hand, would bring him closer to home.
Fabregas, in case he decides to leave, would have to choose between his current club’s enemy, or his boyhood club’s enemy.
In case, Arsenal win the title this season, It would be foolhardy to expect Fabregas to leave, such are his genes.
In case they don’t win it this time round, he may probably desire to move on. In such a situation one of Real and Chelsea is most likely to land him. Chelsea, no doubt Arsenal’s bitter enemy, are probably the better team to join for the Spaniard.
Chelsea have a better system of treating players- not to make them look like passengers in their bus-something that is usual with players moving to Real Madrid. Further, Fabregas has adapted to the Premier League very well.
And last but not the least, Chelsea are definitely closer to the Premier League title than Real are to the La Liga crown. Real don’t look anywhere near wrestling the Championship from Barcelona.
For Fabregas to move to Chelsea would represent a very exciting line-up. The Lampard-Fabregas-Torres-Drogba partnership is sure to send some goosebumps across the country, and don’t be surprised if Abramovic actually pulls off the move.
