John Cena: Defending WWE's Poster Boy from the IWC
Many love him, many hate him. Some chant, "Let's go, Cena," while the rest chant, "Cena sucks."
I am writing this to tell the Internet Wrestling Community that John Cena, the most polarizing figure in pro wrestling today, does not suck.
Let me preface this by saying I am not some kid who believes pro wrestling is real and thinks Cena is Superman.

Whether you like him or not, you must admit Cena has a passion for wrestling like very few others. No, let me rephrase that; Cena has a passion for what he does like very few others.
Like he's said before, the WWE isn't a part of his life, it is his life. He does anything that's believed to be in the best interest of WWE. He works 365 days a year, never taking a day off. How many people can say that? Not many.
Many point to his Superman-like gimmick as the reason for hating him. I hate his gimmick too, but that's not his fault. His gimmick lies completely on the Creative team. So as far as I'm concerned, you're placing the blame on the wrong guy.
Cena didn't ask to be booked like he is, in fact, he began with a heel rapper gimmick. He was pretty good with it, too.
Another problem is people say he won't put younger wrestlers over. This isn't true. Yes, he does win all of his feuds, but look at how he helped Wade Barrett.
He went from a relative no-name (among average fans) and Cena turned him into a main eventer. When somebody feuds with Cena, win or lose, they get instant credibility.
Others will fault his "five moves of doom." This once again, is not his fault. Why you may ask? Well, he does actually have a bigger move set.
To serve as proof, here is a link to a Cena vs. Bryan Danielson match from 2003 on Velocity. Still not satisfied, well here is a top-20 move video for Cena. Yes, he has 20 moves!
Wrestling would be even less popular if it weren't for Cena. He connects with the fans very well. He is easily the top merchandise seller in WWE.
He sells out arena after arena. He brings the ratings up. WWE was so scared when they ran the "fired" angle, they wouldn't keep him off television, even for just one week.
Cena deserves much more respect than he gets. He is the best possible person the WWE could have to be the face of their company—just watch this.
I guess he'll never truly be appreciated until he retires, and that's a shame.
