2011 NFL Draft: Big Board and Position Rankings After Underclassmen Declarations
College Bowl season is officially in the rearview mirror and the NFL Playoffs are winding down to a hopefully exciting climax.
Yes, it’s the middle of January and we only we have a few more precious weekends of football left to savor. In a few weeks, the cold of February will get even chillier once they hang the helmets and shoulder pads up for another long offseason.
Luckily for us fans, we have three solid months of draft talk, speculation and debate to hold us over until mini-camps.
We’ve got the Senior Bowl at the end of January, the Combine in February and various other little Draft events leading up to the late April selection ceremony.
Now that the underclassmen deadline has passed, we’ve finally got a good handle on which elite prospects will be hearing their names called early on in this year’s draft.
Guys like Patrick Peterson, Cam Newton, Nick Fairley, A.J. Green and Da’Quan Bowers are likely to get most of the publicity leading up to draft weekend, but that doesn’t mean this year’s group of players isn’t a deep bunch.
There’s certainly talent to be had outside of Round One, so let’s take a look at some of the top prospects in this year's draft.
