Troy Aikman Blasts Cowboys WR for 'Worst Performance' He's Ever Seen, 'I Was Embarrassed'

ESPN NFL analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman offered choice words for one of the team's wide receivers during an interview with Mike Fisher, to the point where he said he was "embarrassed" by an unnamed player's performance, calling it the "worst" he has "ever seen from a receiver on a football field."

It's unclear who Aikman was referring to, but Dallas' offense has not gotten it done of late.

The Cowboys just dropped a rough 23-13 road loss to the Green Bay Packers. That defeat was 10 days after Dallas lost 24-16 at home to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Needless to say, things aren't going well in Dallas right now. The Cowboys could at least count on their offense Weeks 2-4 when they averaged 34 points per game, but the offense has started to slip while the defense has continued its season-long struggles.

On Thursday, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said he needs to see better effort from George Pickens as a run blocker:

Schottenheimer later called Pickens one of his "favorite players of all time."

The Cowboys will look to get back in the win column Monday night against the injury-ravaged Philadelphia Eagles.
