NFL Wild Card Round: Fantasy Wide Receiver and Tight End Rankings
Ryan LesterJan 7, 2011
Here are my fantasy football wide receiver rankings for the Wild Card Round:
- Greg Jennings: Asante Samuel’s knee has him at less than 100 percent, which is not ideal when facing the red hot Jennings.
- Jeremy Maclin: DeSean Jackson is the big play threat, but Maclin is the more consistent Eagle receiver and easily the safer choice.
- Pierre Garcon: Peyton won’t test Revis, meaning Garcon could be very active.
- DeSean Jackson: Jackson had a glorified bye week as the Eagles rested many of their starters. He should be go against the Packers.
- Dwayne Bowe: Bowe had one of the most impressive runs for a receiver in Weeks 6-12. He’s a huge threat likely to have a big game against Baltimore.
- Big Mike Willams: He should see plenty of targets, especially when Seattle gets down big early.
- Lance Moore: With the injuries mounting, Moore should see plenty of looks against Seattle.
- Reggie Wayne: He will spend his Saturday on Revis Island.
- Anquan Boldin: The season didn’t go as planned, and now he has to face Brandon Flowers.
- Marques Colston: His health is my primary concern.
- Santonio Holmes: He can deliver on the big stage, but Mark Sanchez could hold him back.
- Braylon Edwards: His drops are always a concern, but he remains a solid deep threat.
- Blair White: If he’s open, Manning will find him.
- Derrick Mason: The old man still has a little life in his legs.
- Donald Driver: Ditto.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here are my fantasy football tight end rankings for the Wild Card Round:
- Jacob Tamme: Darrell Revis will work on Reggie Wayne, which should mean additional targets for Tamme.
- Jimmy Graham: He’s banged up but has really started to gel with Drew Brees. He’s particularly effective in the red zone where he can use his 6’6″ height.
- Brent Celek: Celek started slow but finished fairly strong. Look for him to play an important role against the Packers, especially if DeSean Jackson isn’t creating separation.
- Dustin Keller: Came up big in last year’s playoff run, including six catches for 63 yards and a touchdown against the Colts. He may not play as large of a role with Santonio Holmes on board, but he’s a decent threat to post a solid fantasy number.
- Todd Heap: He’s a little banged up but had some nice moments this year.
- Tony Moeaki: Had a solid rookie season and could be Cassel’s safety net against the Ravens.
- John Carlson: Disappointing season. You could do better.
- Andrew Quarless: Not much of a factor this year, but his three best games came on the road.
