2011 NFL Playoff Prediction: Can Michael Vick Comeback To Win It All?
Michael Vick has comeback this year and shown us all he is still one of the best QB's in the NFL. The possible MVP candidate has taken the Philadelphia Eagles to the playoffs and now the Green-Bay Packers are the Eagles' next opponent in the road to the Super Bowl.
I will go through each game giving my predicted score and eventually we will find out what this year's Super Bowl outcome will be.
AFC Wilcard Games
1 of 7
No.6 New York Jets at No.3 Indianapolis Colts, 13-24
Let's face it, Rex Ryan just hasn't figured out how to beat the Colts and Peyton Manning just loves playing the Jets. I think it will be an even match up for the first half but the Colts will come out strong to start the second. When it comes to the Playoffs, Peyton Manning doesn't joke around so I'm expecting him to have a big game in this one.
No.5 Baltimore Ravens at No.4 Kansas City Chiefs, 34-10
The Chiefs first playoff appearance since 2006 will not be something they will want to remember as the Ravens embarrass them in front of their own fans. I don't expect the Chiefs offense to really do anything with the ball against the Ravens defense with their only touchdown either being a kickoff return or a defensive TD.
NFC Wildcard Games
2 of 7
No.6 Green-Bay Packers at No.3 Philadelphia Eagles, 21-24 OT
A close battle that could have gone either way but it was injuries that give the Eagles the victory in this one. I will admit that I had the Packers in the Super Bowl before the season started, but things have changed over the course of the regular season. One of these changes being Michael Vick who will have a standout performance in his return to the playoffs.
No.5 New Orleans Saints at No.4 Seattle Seahawks, 38-9
I don't really know what to say about this one. It's the defending Super Bowl Champions going up against a team that rightfully do not deserve to be in the playoffs. Expect Reggie Bush to have a big game due to the absence of Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory. If I had to say anything about the Seahawks it would be that they made the wrong decision starting Hasselbeck over Charlie Whitehurst, but it would not have made a difference in the outcome of the game.
AFC Divisional Games
3 of 7
No.3 Indianapolis Colts at No.2 Pittsburgh Steelers, 24-27
Another close game but the king of the two minute game, Big Ben, will lead the Steelers downfield to score a game-winning TD late in the game. Peyton Manning will have a chance to tie or win the game but an interception will give the Steelers the victory.
No.5 Baltimore Ravens at No.1 New England Patriots, 31-35
The Ravens will be very confident after the demolishing they gave to the Chiefs, but the Pats show them that nobody should expect an easy game when you are playing the New England Patriots. Wes Welker and Danny Woodhead will both have a receiving TD each with Woodhead adding another on the ground.
NFC Divisional Games
4 of 7
No.3 Philadelphia Eagles at No.2 Chicago Bears, 24-14
The Eagles move on to the NFC Championship game after Mike Vick takes charge against the Bears. Jay Cutler will have no answer to Mike Vick's passing and running attack. Neither will the Bears defense as Vick gets a combined 3 TD's.
No.5 New Orleans Saints at No.1 Atlanta Falcons, 24-31
The Falcons get revenge after the Saints beat them in the Georgia Dome in the regular season. Matt Ryan did not want the Saints to put another loss on his home record and had one of his best performances of the season. Of course Michael Turner helped with a TD and a solid amount of yards on the ground. The Saints had the ball attempting to drive down field for a TD and 2 point conversion but a sack on 3rd down left them with 4th and long they were unable to stop the Falcons from going to the NFC Championship game.
AFC Championship Game
5 of 7
No.2 Pittsburgh Steelers at No.1 New England Patriots, 17-21
The best two teams in the AFC face off in the AFC Championship game with the best team coming out on top. The Patriots will out-perform the Steelers on offense and defense and give another performance worthy of Super Bowl Champions. It looks like no team can get in the way of the Patriots winning their fourth Super Bowl.
NFC Championship Game
6 of 7
No.3 Philadelphia Eagles at No.1 Atlanta Falcons, 27-24 OT
A perfect setting, Michael Vick leads the Eagles to an overtime victory over his former team the Falcons in the NFC Championship Game. The Falcons will come into the game thinking they are better than the Eagles and are already on their way to the Super Bowl. It won't take them long to realise that the Eagles wouldn't go out without a fight, and they would have to be at their best to beat them. The Eagles will just want it more and a David Akers Field Goal in overtime will give them the victory and send them to the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl

New England Patriots vs Philadelphia Eagles
Tom Brady VS Mike Vick, Comeback Player of the Year Mike Vick brings the Eagles all the way to the Super. The Patriots look unbeatable but if any team is going to beat them it would be the Eagles. A high scoring game as the Pats offense is too good for the Eagles defense and the Eagles offense is too good for the Pats defense. At the half the teams will be all square at 21-21, but eventually the Patriots will take a 10 point lead. The Eagles will try and get back in to the game but in the Super Bowl, there is no stopping Tom Brady.
Final Score- Pats 38-35 Eagles
