New England Patriots: Kevin Faulk vs. Danny Woodhead
The third down running back—one of the most important positions in the NFL. The position is only fit for a running back that can do it all. Meaning, they can run, pass block and go out for a pass.
In New England, running back Kevin Faulk has claimed the title as the top third down back in the league in the most recent years.
But, with Faulk inactive this season with a knee injury, the Patriots have slotted running back Danny Woodhead as his replacement, and he has succeeded.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Woodhead has emerged as one of the most versatile running backs in the league, and appears to be a long-term replacement for Faulk.
But, if it wasn't for Faulk's injury, which running back would be better?
When you compare Woodhead's stats this year to Faulk's stats last year, they are very similar: Woodhead has rushed for 528 yards this year when Faulk rushed for 335. On the receiving end, Woodhead has 379 yards compared to Faulk's 301 yards.
Both players are different, considering Woodhead's 5'7" height, but they can get the job done.
If you ask me who's a better back? I would have to say Woodhead.
Woodhead can do one thing more consistently than Faulk can do, and that is running the ball.
Woodhead is splitting carries with other running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, when Faulk was never really key part to the Patriots running game.
With Faulk's career in jeopardy, Woodhead has been a nice replacement and has become a fan-favorite.
