Hazard a Guess at Whom Liverpool Will Buy in January? Its My Turan to Choose
The Liverpool squad is looking increasingly weak and January will provide a chance for Roy Hodgson to dip into the transfer market . With new owners at the helm, the Anfield faithful will be expecting some reinforcements in the coming transfer window, despite this being their first transfer window in charge.
The owner’s true test will come in the summer transfer window when they will be able to fully address the issues of the squad. However, some short and long term solutions may be found in the January window.
Philip Lahm: 27-Year-Old Wingback-Bayern Munchen

Since Paul Konchesky’s arrival at the club this summer he has hardly set the Anfield crowd alight. Fabio Aurelio provides a solid backup but is often injured and cannot be relied upon. Phillip Lahm would be a difficult gem to prize away from the Bayern squad, but if successful would present a real transfer coup.
The pacy wingback has been a regular for the German national team and Bayern munich for countless years and would give Liverpool’s backline not only a solid attacking fullback, but also much needed top-level European experience. Munich are rumored to be interested in Dirk Kuyt and maybe a part exchange would help to see the deal through.
Giorgio Chiellini: 26-Year-Old Centre Back: Juventus

Liverpool currently only have two first team centre backs healthy while Daniel Agger and Jamie Carragher are both recovering from injuries. Martin Skrtel and Soto Krygiakos are both good players but should not be week-in week-out centre backs.
Liverpool were linked with Giorgio Chiellini two or three years ago when he was the captain of the U-21 Italian team. While the price would be significantly higher than the 7 million GBP quoted then, he would provide a solid centre back for years to come. Not only does he possess pace and a strong aerial ability, he also manages to chip in with a few goals at the other end of the pitch, a quality only Soto truly possesses.
Giorgio seems to be fairly settled in Turin, however, and it might be near impossible for Liverpool to complete this purchase.
Arda Turan: 23 Year-Old-Winger: Galatasaray

One of the squad's most apparent weaknesses is the lack of width and pace on the wings for Roy Hodgson’s side. It is fairly apparent that Roy Hodgson’s desired formation is 4-4-2, and with the current crop of players games can become very narrow.
While players like Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodrgiuez put in solid shifts out wide they are not true out and out wide men. Certainly not wide men suited to 4-4-2 in the English premier league. Arda Turan is a self-proclaimed Liverpool fan and would certainly jump at the chance to sign for the Merseyside club. He has excellent dribbling skills and has a very quick change of pace that allows him to get into very dangerous areas.
Eden Hazard: 19 Year-Old-Winger: Lille

Eden Hazard is another winger who seems to be a very hot commodity around Europe right now. He is the two-time winner of Ligue 1’s young player of the year award and has garnered praise from Zidane who claimed he would buy him for Real Madrid.
With such elegant suitors it might be difficult to sign this young, Belgian star. However, Liverpool could lure him with the promise of first team football, something he might not find at other top level European clubs.
Fernando Llorente: 25-Year-Old Striker: Athletic Bilbao

Liverpool needs a striker. Every fan and journalist out there knows that Liverpool are short of attacking options up front.
Torres has carried the burden of putting goals in the back of the net all by himself for far too long. David Ngog looks a real prospect but isn’t quite ready to handle the pressure and responsibility of being a striker in the premier league for Liverpool every week. Others, such as Ryan Babel, have been found wanting on numerous occasions when given their chance.
The striker that Liverpool purchases, maybe even in the summer, will depend mainly on which other top European clubs act first. Real Madrid, Manchester City, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and even Barcelona are all rumored to be looking for strikers in the coming transfer windows.
When all is done and dusted Fernando Llorente certainly looks to be a viable option to partner Fernando Torres.
The two both have the Spanish connection and Llorente’s impressive scoring record in la liga coupled with his physical presence would make him a hit in the premier league. With Bilbao in rumored financial complications, Liverpool just might be able to prize the Basque giant away from his hometown club.
