Houston Texans (Texans Schedule)
Opponent Defensive Ranks
New York Jets Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 14th - TDs Allowed T-12th
New York Jets Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 5th – TDs Allowed T-4th
Houston Offensive Cast
Matt Schaub (QB Week 11 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 192/299 – for 2,320 yards & 12 TDs
Not only did Schaub have minor knee surgery this week, but he’s also playing against the NY Jets with a gimpy Andre Johnson as well. You might want to think about working your other options this weekend.
Arian Foster (RB Week 11 Ranking: No. 9) 2010 Season: 172 carries for 920 yards & 10 TDs || 33 receptions for 319 yards & one TD
Foster won’t be able to rip it up the way he has at various times this season, but the Texans will make sure he’s involved enough to do some damage. This is likely just coincidence, but the only games in which Arian didn’t scored a TD this year were when the Texans faced off against the NFC East, so at least he has that going for him.
Andre Johnson (WR Week 11 Ranking: No. 18) 2010 Season: 52 receptions for 781 yards & four TDs
Darrelle Revis will likely be shadowing ‘Dre this game, so temper your expectations a bit. When these two squared off last year, Revis held him to just four catches and 35 yards, but this IS Andre Johnson we’re talking about here, so anything can and usually does happen.
Kevin Walter (WR Week 11 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 28 receptions for 356 yards & four TDs
One nice game doesn’t mean you should start playing him every week. Keep him benched.
Jacoby Jones (WR Week 11 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 25 receptions for 242 yards & one TD
Injuries and consistency have plagued Jacoby this year. Keep him stashed on your bench until his talent decides to show up.
Joel Dreessen (TE Week 11 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 15 receptions for 215 yards & two TDs
Even with Owen Daniels ruled out for this game, I’d still stay away from Dreessen against the Jets.
New York Jets (Jets Schedule)

Houston Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 32nd - TDs Allowed 32nd
Houston Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 15th – TDs Allowed T-21st
New York Jets Offensive Cast
Mark Sanchez (QB Week 11 Ranking: No. 10) 2010 Season: 163/298 – for 1,991 yards & 12 TDs
Sanchez has a great receiving corps to work with and an amazing matchup in which to use it. Going up against the worst pass D in the NFL is a sight any fantasy owner loves to see, and Sanchez won’t disappoint. Santonio Holmes seems to be gathering his stride while Braylon Edwards (though still a little bitch/baby) is showing signs of a return to his breakout year in 2007. NO quarterback play is bad against this Texans defense, so think about giving Dirty Sanchez a sniff.
LaDainian Tomlinson (RB Week 11 Ranking: No. 11) 2010 Season: 141 carries for 656 yards & five TDs || 36 receptions for 244 yards & zero TDs
LT21 is still the main man, though the split between him and Greene is getting to be close to even. Houston allows opposing offenses to do pretty much anything they want against them, so even though Tomlinson will be the one with more total yards in the end, it wouldn’t shock me to see both he and Shonn getting a TD apiece this Sunday.
Shonn Greene (RB Week 11 Ranking: No. 23) 2010 Season: 107 carries for 463 yards & one TD || Eight receptions for 58 yards & zero TDs
Listen closely and you can hear the train comin’ round the bend folks. It’s getting close to that time of year where the Jets will start to transfer their backfield dominance over to the big fella, and it started last week against the Browns. Greene looks super-fresh right now as they’ve rested him well over the first half of the season. Against a terrible Texans defense, I can see both he and Tomlinson doing some fantasy damage in this game.
Santonio Holmes (WR Week 11 Ranking: No. 14) 2010 Season: 20 receptions for 321 yards & one TD
Holmes finally got off the schneid last weekend by scoring the game-winning touchdown in overtime against the Browns. It was also his second week in a row leading the Jets receivers in targets, so Sanchez is obviously pretty comfortable throwing to him. Against the worst pass D in the league this Sunday, it wouldn’t be a stretch to expect somewhere around 100 yards and a TD out of Santonio.
Braylon Edwards (WR Week 11 Ranking: No. 22) 2010 Season: 29 receptions for 512 yards & five TDs
There should be enough fantasy points this weekend to go around to all the Jets receivers. Houston has a real tough time keeping QBs to less than 300 yards a game, so with Edwards acting as the deep threat in this offense, he should be able to come up with a pretty nice statistical day.
Jerricho Cotchery (WR Week 11 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 29 receptions for 315 yards & two TDs
Cotchery has been ruled out for the Jets Week 11 game.
Dustin Keller (TE Week 11 Ranking: No. 3) 2010 Season: 33 receptions for 472 yards & five TDs
Anyone on the Jets team going out for a pass has to be considered fantasy gold this Sunday. The Texans give up an average of seven receptions a game to tight ends and have allowed seven TDs by them in just nine games. Keller has a pretty good nose for the endzone, so don’t be surprised to see him wind up there on Sunday.
