What To Expect From the Milwaukee Bucks in 2010-11
If you ask most NBA fans, they would say the Bucks' " Big Three" are Brandon Jennings, John Salmons and Andrew Bogut. And I agree with that.
You've got Brandon Jennings, the quick, flashy, point guard who can also score, John Salmons, the main shooter and Andrew Bogut, the big man, who blocks a lot of shots!ย
What To Expect from Brandon Jennings: Higher Shooting Percentage
1 of 3
Last season, Jennings was ripped on by many because of his poor shooting percentage (37 percent), and he took those comments as a challenge.
He has been working on his jumpshot all summer and told Bucks.com that he has been working at the training facility late at night.ย
He also has shown signs of taking smarter shots this preseason, mainly because the ball is not in his hand when the shot clock is about to go off.ย That is another reason why he had a low shooting percentage.
With Magette and CDR around, Jennings will be getting better, more open shots. He wonโt have to put up a shot he shouldnโt be shooting. He also has Ersan, who helped him out a lot last year.
Remember the insane 3 that Ersan made in Sac Town against the Kings?
I do.
What To Expect From John Salmons: He Will Be the Teamโs Leading Scorer
2 of 3
The Bucks made a very smart move last season in trading for John Salmons. He is one of the main reasons the Bucks made the playoffs and was their leading scorer from the time he was on the team. He averaged 19.9 points per game with the Bucks last season.
Salmons was re-signed because the Bucks needed him. Now with Magette and CDR, Salmons wont score as much as last season, but should still be the team leader. Salmons shot 46 percent with the Bucks last year; shooting percentage is more of an issue because John has been injured the past few weeks/months and is recovering day by day.
If the Bucks are looking at making it further into the playoffs, they will need to create open shots for Salmons.
What to Expect from Andrew Bogut: He Will Be the Same Old Bogut Quickly
3 of 3
Andrew Bogut went down with a terrible injury that we all would like to forget. After rehabbing this summer and playing in three preseason games, it looks like Bogut should be ready for the season opener. The Bucks will obviously monitor his minutes the first few weeks to make sure his arm doesnโt get too tired.
If you are wondering if he will be the same shot blocker he was. The answer is yes. In the three games he played this preseason, he had eight blocks.
Now with Drew Gooden, some of the pressure will be taken off of Bogut because he isnโt the only true big man.
