Arsenal Vs. Middlesbrough Aftermath
As we saw on Sunday, Arsenal lost their first match 2-1 against a terrible Middlesbrough side. The Rosicky goal not meaning anything, it should be read as a 2-0 scoreline.
The game was crap—and if i knew that what I saw was the best that Arsenal would give out that day, I wouldn't have woken up at 8am to watch the game. Even though we didn't have key players such as Fabregas, Hleb, Van Persie and (I guess) Flamini/ Diaby, we should have played well against a shit side.
The game started out as crap, and in the first couple of minutes Arsenal was down 1-0, off a penalty that was rightly given. Later, while Arsenal was still defending and we saw no attack, Wenger tried to change it up at halftime, putting in Bendtner for Eduardo, and later putting in Denilson and Walcott.
This didnt help. We all expected to see our hopeful captain blow us away because of the few starts he was getting, but instead we ended up watching Gilberto run around the pitch looking clueless.
If Arsenal hope to become champions this year, we need more depth. It is unfortunate that we lost key players, but we need to sell Gilberto (he will probably leave for Italy), and Lehmann (who will probably go back to Germany) and get depth in the squad.

We hoped that Eduardo would have filled this spot, but he has been playing like rubbish. Now here comes Chelsea.
Wenger said today that he belives Van Persie, Flamini, and Diaby will be back—but Fabregas (who is the life of the team) and Hleb (having a great season) are doubtful.
If we show up like we did against Middlesbrough, expect another thrashing—4-0, or even 7-0. Wenger needs to get into the heads of his young team, and they need to be the ones (rather than Fabregas on the sidelines) to turn the team around.
