Maple Leafs Burning; Let's Have A Fire Sale!
As I write this, the Leafs are on a roll.
If you think this will last, raise your hand.

Draft Lottery Winners and Losers
That's what I thought.
I say the very second they suffer another loss, JFJ should get on the phone.
Below is a list of people that need to go if the Leafs harbor any hope of becoming a contender in the near future.
Andrew Raycroft
Raycroft is one of the most inconsistent goaltenders in the league. However, he has been known to shine in clutch situations. For that reason, he may be a valued addition to a team like Los Angeles. They've needed someone to stop pucks ever since they assigned rookie Jonathon Bernier to his junior club.
Plus, the departure of Raycroft would open the door for young gun Justin Pogge. From what I hear, the Leafs organization wants to play him, but is afraid that playing with the current team in front of him would ruin his promising career.
Pogge's spent enough time in the minors. It's time to see if he's worth the wait, or simply destined to become the next Trevor Kidd.
Pavel Kubina
Kubina hasn't been the same since the lockout, and he's making pre-lockout money. He is a big salary cap hit, and simply isn't worth the five million per year.
Matt Stajan and Alex Steen
The two youngsters do have a tremendous amount of potential, but have yet to impress. Trade them for a few draft picks. With luck, the players those picks become could live up to their potential.
Bryan McCabe
It's one thing when your best defenseman doesn't win you games. It's another when he costs you them.
Mats Sundin
Don't get me wrong—I really admire Mats, and would love nothing more than to see him retire as a Leaf.
But let's face facts: He'll play one more year (maybe) and his trade value is as high as it's ever been. We are talking multiple draft picks, multiple prospects—not the kind of opportunity you can pass up.
Paul Maurice
Nine out of ten people will tell you Maurice is a great coach. I would be inclined to agree. However, it just hasn't worked out, and it's time for a new bench boss.
Former Leaf great Doug Gilmour has expressed interest in coaching. Why not give ol' Douggie a shot?
