WWE Superstars 8/26/10 Review: MasterShocked
1. William Regal def. Goldust -These two have battled before on Superstars, but I must admit this match was better when it is given more time. The match itself was decent, but since these two are at the point in the careers where they may never get a push again, who does this help? As a William Regal fan, I am glad Regal picked up the victory, but neither are on a roll, or win anyway. As compared to last week’s Yoshi Tatsu vs. Primo, this is a change of pace of having two veterans face off instead of two rising stars (if you call them that), but it was nearly only to get them on the card after not being seen for two weeks. Overall, the finish was a little less than predictable, the match was decent, and I am still impressed on what these two can do in their age. 2. The Dudebusters def. Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins -To start this off, let me ask the question I’ve been wondering since their first encounter: Are the Dudebusters face? They didn’t act like it much, but we’ll have to see in coming weeks if anything changes in the Dudebusters’ attitudes. Now to the match: These two squared off a few weeks ago, and that match was one of the better tag matches I’ve ever seen on WWE Superstars, let alone recently in WWE with their division dying. This match didn’t live up to the same match they had before, but it was still good. The finish was great, and it really pushes The Dudebusters up the ranks a little. It only confuses me on why WWE would stop the push Archer and Hawkins were getting. Unless this starts a feud or a contender ship to the WWE Tag Titles to either team, then it was pointless. Hopefully it does lead somewhere, and we see more of these teams on Smackdown more often. 3. Drew McIntyre def. Chris Masters -Did anyone ever doubt that Masters would lose? I can’t remember the last time he actually got a win over someone that isn’t a jobber. Still the match got some time, and it wasn’t that bad. It gives McIntyre a win he really needed, and just pushes Masters down further. Predictable finish, and lackluster match. Final Review: The show was better than bad, but not great. A very forgettable show with really nothing special. I would like to see more established stars like McIntyre on Superstars every week, much like with Swagger last week.
