Homicide's Depature From TNA Could Be the Beginning of a Mass Exodus

"Let My People Go" - The Ten Commandments

Earlier today, longtime TNA wrestler Homicide announced his departure from the company.

I'm not as sad as others are about this because creative had nothing for Homicide and they probably weren't going to. I put him on a list of TNA wrestlers who I would cut a few months ago. But the timing of this is terrible.

TNA stars such as Samoa Joe and A.J. Styles have voiced their opinions about TNA, not exactly flattering ones. Samoa Joe is coming off his suspension presumably next week and his treatment will probably tell us a lot about his future with the company.

Unlike Joe, Styles has received a lot of praise from Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. But he wasn't happy about losing his titles and he let it show.

Could Samoa Joe and A.J. Styles be WWE bound?

Homicide, Styles, and Joe all have one thing in common. They're all in their early 30s. They're not spring chickens but they could all make names for themselves in WWE should they choose to jump ship.

WWE won't bank their whole future on these guys, but they've got plenty of gas left in that tank.

What's so unique about these three?

Excluding Jay Lethal, the list of potential singles wrestlers who could make the switch suffers a drop off from there.

Rob Van Dam and Kurt Angle aren't likely to jump ship due to their ages. Both had great success in WWE but those days are over.

Angle will make movies and likely still be around TNA when he retires, and RVD will go back to smoking pot on the West Coast. The two have had great careers, who could blame them.

The rest of the rather large roster is mostly comprised of wrestlers who could not make the switch.

It's mostly either old wrestlers such as Dreamer or Raven or talent that WWE kicked to the curb.

Hernandez is an interesting case. Excellent wrestler, but he's 37 which is a problem.

There's also Eric Young; Hornswoggle needs a new friend.

Then there's Desmond Wolfe, who could go but WWE found something that they didn't like with him.

Abyss could go, but he won't. He's Hogan's golden boy.

Beer Money, The Motorcity Machineguns, and Generation Me might be smart to make the move. But who could tell, there are like three tag teams in the WWE right now. I can't honestly say that would be smart.

The locker room is upset; we all know that. These ECW guys came in and now they won't leave. Dixie actually wants them to stay.

But there aren't many guys here who WWE would take. No more than 10. Last time I checked, that's only about 5 percent of TNA's roster.

But the grass really isn't that greener on the other side. If these guys leave it's probably for the indys. Could you really picture Matt Morgan on NXT?

Me neither.

Here's the slideshow I was talking about. It's one of my earlier pieces so don't mock it (too much)
