Arsenal—Mariouane Chamakh and Laurent Koscielny

Both Players from Ligue 1 have shown positive performances throughout pre-season. They have settled well within Arsene Wenger’s setup and shown their best abilities. Koscielny looks like a strong defender who relishes the physical side of the game. Chamakh is good in the air and has the ability to hold the ball well. His link up with Nasri has been very impressive as they both show an understanding of each other’s game.

Everton—Jermaine Beckford

Jermaine Beckford signed from Leeds United after a fantastic season last year, where the player bagged 31 goals and won the Player of the Season award. Beckford was allowed to find a new club after his contract was cancelled and David Moyes snapped the young Englishmen up. He is certain to find the back of the net in an Everton shirt but will face stiff competition from the other six forwards.

Liverpool—Joe Cole

The former Chelsea winger was released on a free transfer and a long battle began to sign Joe Cole. Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City were all interested in the Englishman but Liverpool prevailed, and Cole became Hodgson’s first major signing. Joe Cole will be a welcome addition to the squad and the perfect replacement for Yossi Benayoun.

Manchester United—Javier Hernandez “Chicharito”

A young Mexican prodigy who is quick and has a keen eye for goals, Javier Hernandez is Alex Ferguson’s major signing this summer. He becomes a Red Devil and has been very impressive. He has scored in every pre-season game so far including a goal against Chelsea in the community shield. Hernandez is seen as a future world class player. It seems as though Ferguson has replaced Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sunderland—Danny Welbeck

Steve Bruce signed the young Manchester United striker on a season long loan. It is an exciting move as Welbeck has demonstrated his striking ability. His interplay with Darren Bent will be an eyeful as everyone could be treated to the future of England’s strikers.

Stoke City—Kenwyne Jones

The former Sunderland striker becomes a Stoke player and will be a key part of the team’s development. With the arrival of Jones and Tuncay, Stoke could be the surprise package this season and push for a seventh place. Manager Tony Pulis has broken the club’s transfer record to sign Jones.

Wolves—Steven Fletcher

Steven Fletcher is a good striker and he scored some crucial goals for Burnley last season. He has now moved to a better club with some good players, so Wolves can slowly move up the table and secure a definite Premier League place for the future.  The striker is already keen to get going and has targeted a goal rush for his new club.
