Definition Of a Gunslinger
1 of 11
10. Donovan McNabb, Washington Redskins
2 of 11
9. Carson Palmer, Cincinnati Bengals
3 of 11
Palmer has thrown 128 career touchdowns against 80 career interceptions—by no means terrible numbers. But looking at his stats, he does like to take some risks.
He also sports a 63 percent completion rate which goes against him really being a gunslinger. But if you look at the weapons he has in 2010 with Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens, Antonio Bryant, Jordan Shipley, and Jermaine Gresham to name a few, he could very well be slinging the ball all across the field, since he does have the arm strength to do so.
8. Eli Manning, NY Giants
4 of 11
Manning has 125 career touchdowns against 88 career interceptions.
With a 57 percent completion rate, statistically speaking he looks like a gunslinger who takes some risks.
After going into the 2009 season with question marks at receiver, last year brought about some weapons on the outside for Manning in Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks, and Mario Manningham.
Look for more of an air show in 2010 with that young group of receivers continuing its development.
7. Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
5 of 11
Flacco has throw 35 career touchdowns and 24 career interceptions in his two seasons in the NFL.
With a 61 percent completion rate, Flacco is on his way to having a great career at such a young age.
The Ravens wanted to provide him with more outside weapons, and they did by drafting two tight ends in Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta, then acquired both Anquan Boldin via a trade and Donte' Stallworth during free agency.
Look for many more passes from Baltimore's offense than ever before in 2010.
6. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
6 of 11
In 2009, Schaub took a step toward being one of the top passers in the NFL by having a career year that he will look to build upon in 2010.
Already having Andre Johnson, who many say is the top receiver in the NFL today, on the outside, Schaub will also benefit by having even more weapons this season with the continued consistency of Kevin Walter, the hopeful breakout seaspn of Jacoby Jones, and rookie Dorin Dickerson.
Even though the Texans beefed up their running game with rookie running back Ben Tate, the aerial attack should be even more potent than one year ago.
5. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittburgh Steelers
7 of 11
4. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
8 of 11
3. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
9 of 11
2. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears

1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
