The last person to win consecutive majors not named Tiger Woods leads the Travelers on Thursday with a very nice six under par.

However, Padraig Harrington is tied with two other players, Matthew Googin and Charlie Wi, also at minus six for the first day of competition.

In Yahoo Fantasy Golf this week, I selected Bill Haas, who has been playing well. My A-player selection is currently plus one with six holes played.

Scoring seems in the player's favor today, so I would expect he will finish about minus  two, or perhaps better.

His inactive backup Ryan Moore is in with a nice minus two and a tie for 24th so far. He may be activated tomorrow, depending on Haas.

My B-player selections Retief Goosen and Adam Scott are also in with minus two. This should be eight to ten points for each player, a good start for the tournament.

My C-player is just getting rolling, but Shaun Micheel has been very hot, and I suspect he will be among the leaders by the end of today.

More on this tournament Friday as players try to make a cut, that in some instances, change the entire scope and direction of their life.

Just for striking a small round white ball with an object long, but with curves, ill designed for that purpose.

Remember, golf is a nice walk, ruined. Winstion Churchhill or Queen Elizabeth.

Two things that don't last long. Dogs that chase cars and pros putting for par.

Have a nice day.
