Arsenal's Formula For Success
With the expectancy rising at the Emirates, five years on since Arsenal claimed any silver-wear many fans and players feeling the need for something fresh at the London based club.
With so much speculation surrounding the club skipper, Cesc Fabregas and his future at the club, no official word whether he will stay or make the much anticipated move to La Liga champions Barcelona.
For many Gunners fans it's about time some intervention take place, the powers at Chelsea continue to rise with Manchester United always going to be a dominant force.
The new kids on the block in Spurs, City and Villa will look to continue their hard work and fight again for a top four spot. With Spurs having almost snatched third spot from Arsenal this season.
Wenger will have to swallow his pride and prepare himself for some major changes, the experiment of young payers hasn't worked no matter what Wenger or any Arsenal fan might say.
The questions is simple, with this young talented crop what has Arsenal achieved?
Personally i think the answer to Arsenal problems can be described in three parts.
1. Keep Fabregas, at whatever cost make certain that his at the club for atleast the next two seasons. He is highly important for the level of maturing within the current crop, the only other player you can pick out is Van Persie whose anywhere near Cesc. So he is 23, if you have to make a deal with him, once he is 25 he can leave.
2. Buy at least two defenders and one Goalkeeper, Gallas has shown signs that his time is almost up, otherwise Arsenal are going to have a similar problem like United. Without Ferdinand there's a cap left in the defense. So buy two new central defenders, one as cover and one for the first team. Sivestre and Campbell won't do. On the Keeper front, Almunia has shown his weaknesses and a replacement with more experience and ability is required, Arsenal should look within the English league for a replacement.
3. Arsenal have to buy a "world-class" player, whether Cesc stays or not. Wenger needs to change his approach on his buying-methods, yes the youngsters will last longer, but at present there is a need for experience and ability in the team. And I think Ronaldinho is the perfect man for that role, he has tremendous experience, great skill and ability on the ball, has played at Barca so the style of football is similar, his spell at Milan will be a bonus in terms of the hard nature of English football. Presently he is the best player who can offer Arsenal exactly what they want and need.
I believe if Arsenal do the above, it's just time before we see results, the challenge will always be there and in terms of Europe, the challenge is growing.
Wenger needs to do something or make way for someone who has the "balls" to make a difference.
I might be a United fan, but seeing talented youngsters failing year in and year out makes me think what could have been.
The simple ingredient missing from Arsenal is "experience".
