Josh Koscheck: Punch and oil makes Paul Daley "a blatant cheater."

"I was talking to him in his ear a little bit, letting him know that some of the things that he said on the Countdown show weren't very polite. And he didn't take too kindly of it, so he started eye-gouging me. First off, the guy's a blatant cheater. He had oil all over him. So, you know what, I just stuck to the game plan. The game plan was to be conservative, get the victory any way I could, take him down, wrestle, go back to the old school a little bit. I had a lot riding on this fight and I played it conservative and had to get the victory."  - Josh Koscheck

Josh Koscheck's unanimous decision victory over Paul Daley at UFC 113 was marred by controversy as Daley hit Koscheck after the bell had rang. But, according to Koscheck, Daley was also oiled up, saying that he "could smell it from the beginning."

Speaking with MMAFighting directly after his bout, the new welterweight title contender had no opinion about whether UFC President Dana White should cut Daley for his post-fight punch. Koscheck stated that he was just happy to get the victory over his British opponent, get the coaching job on The Ultimate Fighter and win the next title shot against champion Georges St. Pierre.

This was the toughest training camp he had ever been through, he said, and was plagued by some personal issues, which made it a bit hard to focus on training at times.

White has confirmed that St. Pierre vs. Koscheck will most likely take place in December after the conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter 12.
