2010/2011 La Liga Season: Real's Ronaldo Will Rule Over Barcelona's Messi
After a brilliant season at Manchester United, Ronaldo made the much anticipated move to the Premiera Liga, where he was expected to perform week-in and week-out.
Fans, players, and the men with the cheque book expected only the best since they paid $80 million for the Portuguese superstar.
But after Real failed in Europe and other domestic competition, their only hope is a Barca slip-up that will open the road for a League title.

Barcelona beat Real on both occasions this season and Leo Messi came out on top, somewhat shadowing Ronaldo and his ego.
Now many are of the opinion that Messi is the "King", the ultimate player, and his goals and recent achievements serve as proof to their arguments.
Messi's inability to perform against hard defenders in Inter Milan proves that he can't handle a push or nudge. He's a player with immense talent and skill, but finds it difficult to handle intense pressure from big defenders.
Can Messi rise to the occasion come the World Cup?
Barcelona football represents Messi's style of play in some way, not the physical, but more the technical passing game, which means a more open approach. Ronaldo played in the Premier League, a faster and more physical game with tough tackling, meaning Ronaldo is better equipped to handle the rough and tough South American's than Messi is.
Ronaldo, only in his first season in La Liga, is getting used to the style, the crowds, and the variations—and as he gets used to these factors he will only become better. He has shown glimpses of his ability, but at other times has just fallen to the ground.
His scored 29 goals in all competition, which is brilliant for his first season in a new league, playing on a team that's just been put together. Remember, Barcelona has built this team over several years, many players are from the academy, which means they've been playing together for most of their lives.
Real needs time to gel, understand each other's roles, and start playing as a team. A better team performance will ensure better individual performances.
Looking at Ronaldo's stats, he hasn't played badly at all with a number of average games, but ultimately he is always compared to Messi. Messi was on the Barca first-team since 2004, while Ronaldo has only played around 32 games for Real.
Next season he will surely be more experienced in terms of La Liga, his understanding between the likes of Alonso, Kaka, Higuain, etc., would have improved (depending on who the coach is going to be, he's always going to be in the starting 11), and he will show his class.
Messi is great in terms of his recent achievements, but teams will look at the approach of Inter and look to follow suit.
Ronaldo plays the tough game which means it can only be easier playing in Spain.
The World Cup will serve as the best opportunity to view both these players and see how they fare against tough competitors.
With Argentina to face Nigeria in their group encounter, it will be the toughest of the first-round matches. While Portugal face Ivory Coast and Brazil, Messi has been criticised for his lack of International brilliance, while Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, is seen as the main man for his nation.
Personally, I think Ronaldo has learnt a lot since his arrival at Madrid, he has grown as a player and will be vital in Madrid's European and domestic quest next season.
Yes, Real are just behind this season, but you can imagine, it can only get better with the squad Madrid have put together.
