John Calipari Is The Best Thing In College Hoops.
Free throws were created to stop John Calipari from winning a championship.
I can’t comment on how UMass lost in the Final Four but Memphis could not hit a free throw in the 2008 Finals or 2010 Elite Eight.
Putting his short comings aside Calipari has not only revived Kentucky, but he took college hoops out of March and made it a year round obsession.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
From the minute he arrived on campus with three of the top recruits in the nation all eyes were on UK.
Suddenly Kentucky was the talk of the town in August, at a time when college hoops is normally in hibernation, unless there is a scandal.
If there is a statistic for the coach most likely to be interviewed at any time, it would be a shock if Calipari was not miles ahead of his peers!
If he was in the NBA he would be called the Zen Disciple. He would be Phil Jackson’s Padawan but only because you can’t have two masters.
They both realise that to win you need the best players.
Calipari distinguishes himself from all others with his ability to recruit these top players. Would anyone be truly shocked if Josh Selby or Brandon Knight showed up in Lexington in the fall?
Nor would it be a surprise if one day the elite high school players played in the John Calipari All American game.
The Pied Piper, himself could not out recruit Calipari.
Love him or hate him the only man that will stop Calipari from winning the ultimate prize in college hoops is Calipari. There are already whispers of an NBA job in the pipeline.
Maybe one day he might even surpass Mike Krzyzewski as the Lex Luther of college hoops, if not already.
Sadly this is the only sport where you become a bad guy if you are successful.
