NFL: Are The Oakland Raiders An Anomaly?

Honor Warren Wells TheTorchMar 25, 2010

There are so many who believe that the Oakland Raiders are an anomaly because of the structure of the front office.

That may not be the case.

A survey of all of the front offices for the 32 NFL teams was conducted on March 24, 2010. A tally of the data was completed in several categories. There may be a few variations in the tally because all systems are dynamic people are hired, fired, or other from day-to-day. However, the general structure usually stays the same.

Are the Oakland Raiders an anomaly?

Based on the research—it seems they are not.

More research is needed to see if there is a correlation between the number of people in the front office and the total numbers of coaches compared to the productivity of the franchise.

This is considered a preliminary perusal of the data. Many more observations can be made, and it is left to the reader to delve deeper to establish what helps make a productive and winning franchise both on and off the playing field.

Go Raiders!
