CORPORATE LEADERSHIP Inspired by The Game of Golf (Exclusive Series)
This is the third article in a year-long exclusive series. The author Andy Reistetter shares his insight on how PGA TOUR players, competition and the game of golf can be utilized inside corporations as a model for developing leadership and culture. He has written two books —one on inspirational leadership called "The Approach" and the other on inspirational living called "Love, The Rest of My Life (TROML) & The Pursuit of Eternity." Both books are available by emailing AndyReistetter@gmail.com.

CORPORATE LEADERSHIP Inspired by The Game of Golf
What does that mean?
I think there is inspiration and learning to be extracted from the game of golf—PGA TOUR players and competitive golf events applied to corporate leadership and culture result in financial games for everybody.
I find it interesting that corporations spend millions of dollars to sponsor golf tournaments and develop relationships with their customers and suppliers, yet have not figured out how to bring the game of golf inside their company for profit.
I am not talking about putting in a driving range and teaching everyone how to golf.
More like a First Tee program for adults at work.
I am always looking for new material for my exclusive series and I found some this week here at the Honda Classic.
Graeme McDowell tried to hit his ball from the water hazard on 18 and THOUGHT he may have touched the water with his club. He immediately called the matter to the attention of rules officials and after reviewing the video he assessed himself a two-stroke penalty.
Imagine if everyone at work, in the plant, or in the office conducted themselves in such a manner?
More inspiration can be found in Ernie Els, who I saw win here two years ago and then a week later at the Big Easy make an uneasy announcement that his son Ben was diagnosed with autism.
Els and his wife Liezl founded the Els Autism Foundation in 2009 and are seeking $30 million to build the Els Center for Excellence, which will conduct research and provide education and therapy for autistic children.
Els will be honored at the Masters for his unselfish contributions to the betterment of society.
Imagine if everyone at work, in the plant, or in the office were as much of a team player willing to give back freely to the team as Ernie Els did?
And what of Camilo Villegas, who was so proud this week after his quick trip down to Columbia to kick off an inaugural Nationwide Tour event in his home country?
He was entitled to be proud because he worked hard to see that dream become a reality.
As Camilo says, "it's all about attitude."
Johnny Miller said of Villegas, "this guy can see the good in everything he does."
Imagine everyone on your team with that attitude!
Image your life with that attitude every moment, every day, and every year for the rest of your life?
"Corporate Leadership Inspired by The Game of Golf"—don’t we all need that?
