Josh Cribbs: New Contract Nearly Complete Only Numbers Need to Match Up
The framework for a brand new three-year contract, replacing his current three-year deal, is nearly complete between Josh Cribbs and the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL.com reporter Jason La Canfora.
The new deal which will void out Cribbs' current contract that has three years left on it will be very incentive and bonus laden.
The biggest stepping stone that is preventing Cribbs from signing on the dotted line is the guaranteed money.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cribbs wants $10 million, but the Browns have only offered around half of that.
With a reported increased role on offense this upcoming season, Cribbs will obviously have many factors included in his new deal that will pay him handsomely if he can continue to dominate with the football in his hands.
Browns President Mike Holmgren has been working hard in getting Cribbs a deal in place that best suits his value to the team, his locker room leadership, and his highly passionate and competitive spirit too.
The Browns' special teams were just ranked No. 1 in the entire NFL for the 2009 season and most of that is due to Cribbs.
Although many fans would rather see Cribbs signed to a longer deal than just three years, La Canfora has said the Browns are also working to get option year or two into the contract that would extend his stay in Cleveland past 2012 which is when his contract will expire.
Browns fans can now relax because it looks like Cribbs will be wearing an orange helmet for another three years at the very least.
