NFL Picks Week 13 Sunday Night Football Five Plays to Consider
NFL Picks Week 13 : Our first play in Week 12 on the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals to stay "Under" 39 points was a nice winner, but unfortunately we left a handful of dirty picks hanging out to dry that should have never made it past the spin cycle.
Chicago and Jacksonville were outclassed; killing our two side plays for the week while the only total the Panthers and Jets were challenging was the record for turnovers in a game. Carolina had four turnovers to New York's three and, other than the 17 points those teams scored to capitalize on the other’s mistakes, scoring was non-existent.
Our Chargers-Chiefs total also missed, and it ratchets our record back down to one game over .500. It’s like the story of the Houston Texans lately; every time we’ve started showing strong signs of breaking new highs we find a way to reel ourselves back down.
Five plays to consider this week including three sides and two totals.
Complete NFL Picks Week 13
DENVER (7-4) AT KANSAS CITY (3-8)
Line: Broncos -4.5
Over/Under: 38
Kansas City was unable to build on its upset vs. Pittsburgh, getting slapped for 43 points last week in San Diego. Denver is the first of three-straight home games for the Chiefs and although the Broncos are just 2-9 ATS in December at Arrowhead, they carry a different swagger this year that should have them up for the challenge. We like the Chiefs to play hard and make the most of their opportunities and see this game making it into the 40’s by the final whistle.
Pick: Take the "Over"
TENNESSEE (5-6) AT INDIANAPOLIS (11-0)
Line: Colts -6.5
Over/Under: 46.5
The hottest team in football that isn’t undefeated will be tested at Lucas Oil, and QB Vince Young will need to bring the kind of patience he showed during his comeback vs. Arizona in Week 12 to stay with the Colts. QB Manning has proven he can make a great WR out of nearly everyone, but in recent weeks the Titans have been getting a good pass rush from the D-line and dropping eight into coverage. Against Manning and the Colts offense that could be just what the Titans need to play spoiler.
Pick: Take the Titans
NEW ORLEANS (11-0) AT WASHINGTON (3-8)
Line: Saints -10
Over/Under: 47
Coming off one of their most impressive games all season the Skins are now charged with trying to become the first team to dent the Saints perfect record. Pressuring QB Brees and minimizing big plays downfield is easier said than done but the Redskins catch New Orleans off a huge win vs. New England, at home, and the Skins have been money getting points this season (5-2 ATS). It’s the latest in a season the Redskins have played an undefeated team since Super Bowl VII when they lost 14-7 to Miami on Jan. 14, 1973.
Pick: Take the Redskins
ST. LOUIS (1-10) AT CHICAGO (4-7)
Line: Bears -9.5
Over/Under: 41
Finger pointing has done a number on the chemistry in Chicago and a Bears team who’s rushing offense ranks last in the league with 85.1 RYPG welcomes the NFL’s second-leading rusher in Steven Jackson. St. Louis is desperately seeking their first win since Week 8 at Detroit and, following a three-game home stand where the Rams averaged 22 points per game, this line is very generous against a team in disarray. Public money is coming late but could drive the line to double-digits.
Pick: Take the Rams
SAN FRANCISCO (5-6) AT SEATTLE (4-7)
Line: 'Pick em'
Over/Under: 41.5
A disappointing road trip leaves the Seahawks on the verge of elimination against the team that triggered the fault line in Week 2 by crushing QB Hasselbeck in a 23-10 win. Seattle went 1-5 SU/ATS and will be looking to exact revenge but possesses barely enough talent on either side of the ball to get past the Lions, let alone the 49ers. As these teams feel each other out between the 20’s, looking for a weakness and burning the clock, we look for scoring to come at a premium.
Pick: Take the "Under"
Last Week: 1-4
Overall Record: 31-30 (Sides: 22-22; Totals: 9-8)
