Thanksgiving Day NFL Game Odds

Green Bay (-11) @ Detroit (+11)

Matt Stafford is coming off the biggest game of his career, and might have actually laid the foundation for future legendary status, throwing a TD pass with 0 seconds left on the game clock to win by one point…with a busted-up throwing arm.

Does this mean we now have a Detroit Lions team that can turn it all around? A team that can rise from the depths of the NFL basement? Uhh…nope.

Oakland (+13.5) @ Dallas (-13.5)

The Raiders upset the newest “hot” team in the NFL by beating the Bengals on a last-second field goal in Week 11. They’re quickly becoming the upset team of 2009; give them a double-digit pointspread and they’ll give you a straight-up win.

Dallas, on the other hand, has managed to salvage their season little by little, but they’re absolutely abysmal offensive performance last week is inexcusable, and it’s hard to believe, but 13.5 is too many points against the Raiders.

New York Giants (-6) @ Denver (+6)

We’ve been saying for weeks the honeymoon is over in Denver. This was a team that was getting by on the hype, excitement and youthful energy of a new, progressive young coach.

They also hadn’t faced the injury bug yet, and now in the face of adversity, can the young prodigy show the maturity needed to stop the egos and the infighting? It’s a very lofty goal.

They have an excellent opportunity to rebound from their four consecutive losses against a similarly reeling Giants team. A team lucky to avoid their fifth straight loss in week 10.

The Giants certainly haven’t recovered, and aren’t close to being back as a top team in the NFL, but they can certainly beat up on a Broncos team that has lost its focus and direction.
