WWE WrestleMania 38 has come and gone with a big card filled with memorable moments. Not every match felt worthy of its spot, but the show still proved the power of a two-night event over one overlong night.
WWE is not the only wrestling company that has put together a show like this. New Japan Pro-Wrestling has turned Wrestle Kingdom into a two-night event for the last few years.
One company that has yet to take on that format is All Elite Wrestling. The company has been building a stacked roster of talent that cannot always get the spotlight some fans would hope. No matter how many people are packed into each AEW pay-per-view, there are plenty missing.
The roster includes great champions such as "Hangman" Adam Page and Thunder Rosa, top babyfaces like CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley as well as leading heels like MJF, Chis Jericho and Serena Deeb. The tag team division is also stacked including The Young Bucks and FTR.
AEW looks like a company ready to put on their own major two-night event, but what would that show look like with the current roster?
Night 1 Undercard: Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, FTR, the Acclaimed

Face of the Revolution ladder match: Ruby Soho vs. Toni Storm vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Anna Jay vs. Kris Statlander vs. Red Velvet
A two-night event is a perfect time to highlight as much of AEW's talent as possible, which includes giving the women's division a new opportunity. The AEW women have never competed in a ladder match, and so many could make the most of the stipulation.
Soho and Storm are veterans still waiting for a big break that they could not get in WWE. Hikaru Shida is one of AEW's best and cannot miss this card. Anna Jay, Kris Statlander and Red Velvet are all AEW original talent that have inched closer to championship gold.
This would be a great opener for the show, starting big with a crazy spot fest with potential to give a fresh star a new spotlight.
The Acclaimed vs. Men of the Year
Especially on a big show like this, you cannot miss a Max Caster rap, and Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page are the rare wrestlers who can answer back in their own way. This would be a battle of charismatic and talented teams with title aspirations for the future.
While this would be a step down from Sky's current standing as a challenger for the TNT Championship, he and Page can make this feel completely unique from the rest of the wrestling-focused show.
ROH Tag Team Championships: FTR (c) vs. The Kings of the Black Throne
In the first of two Ring of Honor matches on the two-night card, the ROH Tag Team Championships would be on the line in a very different kind of contest than what fans have recently seen from FTR.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler may be the best tag team in the world right now, and they deserve a special team to face on a night like this. Malakai Black and Brody King have told the most unique story in AEW and present a special challenge unlike anything FTR have faced before.
Night 1 Rivalries: CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston II, BCC vs. JAS
CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston
There are few men who hate each other more than Punk and Kingston. At least that is the story the two constantly sell on air and through social media. It led to a memorably brutal clash at AEW Full Gear 2021 where the crowd was completely split in its support.
It would be only right that this story was revisited in what could be the biggest show AEW ever runs. It is an easy sell to an audience that would have an invested audience from the moment the music starts playing.
Two of the best and most popular stars in AEW would sell a fresh story that would follow up on their previous match while raising the tension and suspense all the more.
Blackpool Combat Club vs. Jericho Appreciation Society
The two newest stables in AEW were created from the outset to be at odds. Chris Jericho has found a hive mind with Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia and 2point0 where all involved are convinced that the goal is to be a Sports Entertainer.
William Regal brought together the dangerous pairing of Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson with the mindset of helping craft the perfect wrestlers. Wheeler Yuta was the first recruit in this movement.
These two groups are destined to clash at some point, and this show could be the beginning of a longstanding rivalry at the level of The Inner Circle vs. The Elite.
Night 1 Title Matches: TNT Championship, FTW Championship
TNT Championship: Sammy Guevara (c) vs. Wardlow
Recently, AEW teased Guevara vs. Wardlow but did not deliver. At that time, The Spanish God was still playing the babyface role while the big man was also rising in fan standing. At this point, both are in much more comfortable roles to set up a TNT Championship clash.
Mr. Mayhem is one of the hottest stars in the company right now. Pairing him with one of the company's most reliable names is guaranteed to prove successful.
FTW Championship: Ricky Starks (c) vs. Hook
Few stars have caught AEW fans' attention quite like Hook. Taz's son has impressed in every performance to date, but he has not faced any top-level opponents yet.
The most obvious and intriguing match for him on a show of this scale would be against Taz's star pupil. The two have been allies, but they could be much better enemies. Starks holds a title that is tailor-made for Hook given its history, so putting it on the line only makes sense.
This would be a fun contest to showcase both young stars and truly crown Hook as the future of the business.
Night 1 Main Event: AEW Women's Championship: Thunder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb
If AEW is going to book the biggest women's match possible for the first all-female main event on PPV, it is hard to come up with a better one than the top face vs. the top heel in a rematch years in the making.
Thunder Rosa has not had enough time to solidify her reign, but her work overall in AEW has made her one of the company's most popular names. She needs a heel who can challenge her at the highest level.
Serena Deeb is a talent unlike anyone else in AEW. Her expertise has been extremely important to the locker room as a whole, helping train the women as often as she actively competes. She is a technical wizard in the ring who only seems to be getting better with age.
She and Rosa have a history since Deeb was the one to take the NWA Women's Championship from her, a feud that introduced both women to AEW. Since that time, they have been separated, waiting for the best chance for a rematch.
This would be a showcase of two of AEW's absolute best, given the time and attention they deserve to put on one of the best matches the division has seen. No matter who wins, this would leave a lasting impact.
Night 2 Undercard: Casino Battle Royale, Hardy Boyz, ROH Title
Men's Casino Battle Royale: Swerve Strickland, Keith Lee, Andrade El Idolo, Dante Martin, Dark Order, Jay Lethal, Christian Cage and More
It is important on a show of this level to get as many stars on the card as possible, and the Casino Battle Royale is a great opportunity to get top guys such as Swerve, Lee and Andrade on the card. It can also set up someone new who has never been at the top to take a step forward as the next No. 1 contender.
Street Fight: The Hardy Boyz vs. Private Party
Few teams in AEW feel more intrinsically linked than The Hardy Boyz and Private Party. It was because of Matt and Jeff Hardy that Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen started wrestling. When Matt joined AEW, he was quickly tied to the young duo of Kassidy and Quen.
While the feud has passed for these two teams in the immediate future, this is a match that must be revisited with a major stipulation. A ladder match would make sense, but since there is one already booked on the show, a Street Fight is the next best option.
Ring of Honor Championship Unification: Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Samoa Joe (c)
Gresham is too big a star to miss a card like this whether he is signed to AEW, ROH or both. Defending the ROH Championship here would be a massive boost to that title, especially with a great opponent.
Samoa Joe is one of ROH's all-time great wrestlers. He will bring out the best from the ROH champion in a match that could steal the show no matter what else is on the card. This would be a must-watch bout.
Night 2 Rivalries: The Elite vs. Undisputed Elite
The Elite vs. The Undisputed Elite
Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were the original great trio in AEW. Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish are another definitive trio, who will match The Elite move for move and shot for shot.
No titles are needed for a contest like this, but if the company introduced the AEW Trios Championships, this would the perfect contest to crown the first first titleholders.
While Omega is technically still out of action, he should be back soon and could not be missed off a show like this.
Britt Baker vs. Jamie Hayter
AEW has not booked a women's singles matches on PPV without a title on the line since Riho became the first AEW women's champion. If there was ever a card to buck that trend, it would be this one.
Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter have been connected since the beginning of AEW, and the latter has lived in the former's shadow since then. It is about time for her to embrace who she is as more than The Doctor's second-in-command.
This match is one that has been built over years to finally establish Hayter as a future champion.
Night 2 Title Matches: Tag Titles, TBS Championship

AEW Tag Team Championships: Jurassic Express (c) vs. Sting and Darby Allin
There is just one undefeated team in AEW with tenure, and it is Sting and Allin. The two have been tagging together since the start of The Icon's AEW run. The Daredevil Skateboarder has been the perfect pairing for Sting, a young star needing veteran guidance.
While Sting wrestles rarely in AEW, he has been heavily protected and never lost. This is a match that would be easy to sell because Jurassic Express has never faced this team two-on-two, but Allin and Jungle Boy have proven chemistry together.
It would be a special match for a massive night that could give The Icon one last title reign.
TBS Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Nyla Rose
No wrestler in AEW has dominated at the level of Cargill. The TBS champion has defeated all challengers, but she has always been the powerhouse in her matches. Competing with another powerhouse, she could finally meet her match.
Rose is one of the original stars of the AEW women's division and continues to deliver. She has often been set as the first major hurdle for whoever holds a women's championship.
This would be a great way to showcase the strongest women in AEW while further solidifying the dominant streak of Cargill.
Night 2 Main Event: AEW Championship: 'Hangman' Adam Page vs. MJF
Much like the main event of Night 1, "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman would not be happening for the first time, but it has been a long time since they crossed paths.
These two wrestled in the earliest stages of AEW's history. At that time, Hangman was a prospective top guy still finding his way, and MJF was a loudmouth who mostly relied upon crossing the line to get heat.
Now, these two have taken their spots atop the company as the No. 1 face and No. 1 heel. The Cowboy has fought all-comers to remain atop the company including Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole, while MJF has scored wins over Chris Jericho, Darby Allin and CM Punk.
These two are destined to lock horns again, and it may just be the biggest story AEW has to tell. This would be a purely story-driven clash between two men who helped shape the company's direction.
Whatever happens over the course of this match, it will be bigger than anything that came before, no matter how big this card. AEW fans will be on their feet to watch the hero of the company battle the greatest villain with the greatest prize on the line.
