Week 14 Fantasy Football Rankings: Position-by-Position Breakdown
Week 14 is finally here. And while it's just another week for NFL teams, it's much more significant for fantasy football managers. That's because it's the final week of the regular season for most leagues.
With the playoffs slated for Weeks 15-17 of the regular season, some fantasy managers are facing crucial matchups. Whether they win their upcoming matchup could determine if they reach the playoffs or if they'll end up in the much-less-important consolation bracket.
Some fantasy managers will also be without several top players for the final week of the regular season. Four NFL teams have a Week 14 bye: the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. So key players such as Jonathan Taylor and Jalen Hurts won't be available.
To help with lineup decisions, here are positional rankings for Week 14, along with sleepers to consider.
Quarterbacks
1 of 4
1. Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen at TB
2. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes vs. LV
3. Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott at WAS
4. Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert vs. NYG
5. Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray vs. LAR
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady vs. BUF
7. Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson at HOU
8. Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers vs. CHI
9. Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson at CLE
10. Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr at KC
Sleeper to Watch: Washington Football Team QB Taylor Heinicke vs. DAL
Washington is on a hot streak, having won four straight games to surge into the NFC playoff picture, and Heinicke has been a big reason for its success. He's completed at least 72 percent of his passes in every game during that stretch, and he's had two games with multiple touchdown passes.
This week, Washington is hosting the Dallas Cowboys, who allow 261.4 passing yards per game (fifth-most in the NFL). So Heinicke could rack up some impressive yardage and throw a couple TD passes in what could be a high-scoring NFC East matchup.
Heinicke is a solid streaming option if you need a QB who is a safe choice to put up a decent number of points. If he uses his legs (which he has proved he's capable of), then he could have an even bigger total.
Running Backs
2 of 4
1. Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler vs. NYG
2. New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara at NYJ
3. Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris at MIN
4. Washington Football Team RB Antonio Gibson vs. DAL
5. Atlanta Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson at CAR
6. Minnesota Vikings RB Alexander Mattison vs. PIT
7. San Francisco 49ers RB Elijah Mitchell at CIN
8. Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones vs. CHI
9. Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon vs. SF
10. Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire vs. LV
Sleeper to Watch: Tennessee Titans RB Dontrell Hilliard vs. JAX
As the Titans' offense tries to have success without star running back Derrick Henry, they're trying to figure out the best way to do so. And in Week 12, Tennessee relied on a two-headed rushing attack of Hilliard and D'Onta Foreman, each of whom ran for more than 100 yards in a loss to New England.
Coming off a Week 13 bye, the Titans could have plenty of success on the ground against the Jaguars, considering they should be in control of the game and may run the ball a lot while they have a lead. Because of that, Hilliard and Foreman are both worthy of flex consideration for fantasy lineups.
Hilliard has a slightly higher ceiling because of his big-play potential, as he broke off a 68-yard touchdown run against the Patriots two weeks ago. He has a good chance to do that once or twice against the Jags, which could lead to a strong fantasy performance.
Wide Receivers
3 of 4
1. Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp at ARI
2. Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams vs. CHI
3. Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson vs. PIT
4. Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs at TB
5. Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill vs. LV
6. Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson at MIN
7. Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb at WAS
8. Baltimore Ravens WR Marquise Brown at CLE
9. Washington Football Team WR Terry McLaurin vs. DAL
10. Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks vs. SEA
Sleeper to Watch: New York Jets WR Elijah Moore vs. NO
Moore has put up solid numbers over the past five weeks, becoming one of the top playmakers on the Jets' offense. But the rookie wide receiver may be on the cusp of putting up even better stats in the near future, ones that could rank him among the top WRs in fantasy down the final stretch.
Over the past five games, Moore has scored five touchdowns, getting into the end zone in four of those contests. He has only one 100-yard game this season, but that could change soon, especially because New York will be without Corey Davis (core muscle surgery) the rest of the year.
The Jets' passing attack may not be the best, but they should fare pretty well against the Saints' secondary. So expect Moore to continue this breakout stretch and feel confident starting him in fantasy lineups. And don't be surprised if he puts up some of his biggest numbers yet.
Tight Ends
4 of 4
1. Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce vs. LV
2. Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews at CLE
3. San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle at CIN
4. Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox at TB
5. Pittsburgh Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth at MIN
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski vs. BUF
7. Detroit Lions TE T.J. Hockenson at DEN
8. Dallas Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz at WAS
9. Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts at CAR
10. Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant vs. DET
Sleeper to Watch: Minnesota Vikings TE Tyler Conklin vs. PIT
The Vikings have a quick turnaround from their Week 13 loss to the Lions, as they're set to host the Steelers on Thursday night. Because of that, it's possible they could be without wide receiver Adam Thielen, who suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's game.
If that's the case, Conklin could have a larger role in the passing attack. He had seven catches for 56 yards and was targeted nine times in the loss to Detroit, so it's clear he moves up in the pecking order if Thielen isn't on the field.
Conklin has been kept out of the end zone the past three weeks, but that could change Thursday night, especially if Minnesota's offense can get rolling against a beatable Pittsburgh defense.
