Downright Embarassing
Hello world. I was hoping to have something positive to write about in my first article, but after watching the Bears' game my glass in no longer half-full. After their horrible performance the only thing left in the cup is two drops and a cookie crumb, the remnants of a once great defense. After a crushing defeat by the Arizona Cardinals, the Bears are now three games behind the dormant Vikings at 4-4, needing a miracle in hopes of reaching the playoffs. It is hard to believe that three short years ago the Bears were a Superbowl team.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Bears are awful. They are being out-played, out-coached, and out-classed. Arizona came in averaging a historic low of 64.9 yards per game on the ground. The Bears allowed 182 yards, a ridiculous number for a team that prides themselves on stopping the run. They made two so-so running-back look unstoppable. Daniel Manning led the team in tackles (10) only because the other team tripped over him after plowing through him. To make matters worse, the Bears also gave up 256 yards passing. Their brilliant plan of have Charles Tillman going one-on-one with premier receiver Larry Fitzgerald was a true stroke of genius.
Lovie Smith obviously can't handle both managing a team and calling plays. Anyone who says otherwise was watching a different game than myself. His players look sluggish, uninspired, and downright lost. Tommie Harris didn't think twice before throwing a punch at a Cardinal player. Jay Cutler gave no thought about cussing out a referee. Players were jumping all over. The team no longer respects him. I hate to say it, but it might be time for a change. I don't yet want to jump on the fire Lovie bandwagon, but it is hard to resist when the wagon has padded seats and free beer.
The coach is not the only person who deserves the blame, there are problems throughout the entire organization, from General Manager down to possibly the water-boy, who just might be serving Miller Lite instead of Gatorade. The team made a huge splash by bringing in Cutler during the off-season, but in doing so they neglected every other position on the field. Even that move is skeptical, considering that he spends most of his time on the ground. I want to believe Matt Forte is a keeper, but just like Cutler, he relies heavily on the offensive line and we don't have one which makes it hard to judge. The Bears have already traded away most of their draft picks, so even rebuilding isn't much of an option. Unless certain players start living up to their contracts we are in for a long a disappointing season (possibly seasons.)
