Who Were the MVPs of Raw, SmackDown and NXT for Week of Nov. 10?
The war is heating up between the brands as WWE Survivor Series 2019 gets closer, so every Superstar on Raw, NXT and SmackDown is looking to prove their superiority.
As the competition grows, the bar rises, making it harder to stand out as the true MVP of the week. After all, every roster now also has to contend with a feuding brand's crop of talent invading and stealing the show!
Which Superstars topped the list this week? Let's find out who were the MVPs of Monday Night Raw, NXT and Friday Night SmackDown.
Honorable Mentions for All Three Brands
1 of 5
With regard to this week's Raw, had Seth Rollins and Adam Cole wrestled a better match with a legitimate ending, those two could have been the MVPs. Sadly, that main event wasn't quite as amazing as it could have been.
Credit should be given to Charlotte Flair and Natalya, though. Their win over The Kabuki Warriors will undoubtedly earn them a title opportunity for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships in the near future, and if their luck continues, they might even capture the titles.
When it comes to NXT, there were a few talking points, like Shayna Baszler derailing Dakota Kai's quest to prove herself ahead of WarGames.
Very close to the MVP spot was The O.C., which started the show with a bang by attacking The Undisputed Era before going on to wrestle an amazing main event against Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle.
SmackDown's offerings were a little more scarce on runner-ups.
For example, Imperium's attack was the weakest of all the invasions so far. Braun Strowman and Tyson Fury had a fun segment destroying The B-Team, but that was too quick to resonate as the top takeaway.
Carmella and Dana Brooke's win to earn spots on SmackDown's women's Survivor Series team should have meant more, but it didn't feel like something majorly important.
MVP for Raw: Rey Mysterio
2 of 5
At the beginning of Monday Night Raw, it seemed Brock Lesnar would dominate so much that his role as MVP would be undeniable.
Storming his way out of SmackDown and onto the Raw roster as champion, undercutting all of what Seth Rollins worked hard for this year and wrecking shop in the hunt for Rey Mysterio was par for the course with The Beast Incarnate.
However, it was Mysterio who came out of this episode with a leg up when he attacked Lesnar with a lead pipe and threw down a challenge for Survivor Series.
Any time someone can make Lesnar—perhaps the most protected Superstar in all of WWE history—look like he's on the ropes, even if it's from a surprise attack with a weapon, it's impressive. That is magnified even more by the size differential between Lesnar and Mysterio.
There is no chance whatsoever that Mysterio will win the WWE Championship, but at least for this week, he turned the tide in an unexpected way.
MVP for NXT: Angel Garza
3 of 5
Admittedly, the biggest selling point to this week's NXT was the six-man tag team main event with The O.C., but the no-contest ending was a bit of a cop-out and robbed the situation of any lasting effects.
Angel Garza vs. Tony Nese, though, was a fantastic match with actual consequences.
Garza has adapted to the WWE style quicker than most to find a solid balance between showmanship and athletic skills.
It was a hard-fought contest, but Garza came out on top and has earned a title shot for next week's NXT against cruiserweight champion Lio Rush, whom he slapped in the face for the cherry on top of his victory.
It's unlikely Garza will win the title, but earning this opportunity with a win over a former champion has been the biggest moment of his career so far and a testament to his potential.
MVPs for SmackDown: The New Day
4 of 5
Winning a championship is a surefire way to jump straight to the top of the MVP list, as there aren't many accomplishments bigger than that.
The New Day dethroned The Revival to take the SmackDown Tag Team Championships and throw Survivor Series off-balance. Now, it will be Kofi Kingston and Big E who face The Viking Raiders and The Undisputed Era.
It was the best match of the night, and while it's not the same as regaining the WWE Championship, the tag titles are a good consolation prize for Kingston after being tossed aside so quickly in favor of Brock Lesnar last month.
The New Day is now a seven-time champion and closing in on another record, as the team is only a few reigns short of surpassing The Dudley Boyz for the most titles in WWE history.
Overall MVP of the Week: The New Day
5 of 5
WWE's poll on who made the biggest impact on Friday Night SmackDown shows that fans valued The New Day's title win over everything else, and with good reason.
Compared to the other two MVPs, who made statements that will boost their confidence as challengers for titles, The New Day actually went out and won the championship it was fighting for.
Had Mysterio beaten Lesnar for the WWE title or Garza taken the NXT Cruiserweight Championship—two things we'll have to wait to see—they could have outranked The New Day, but a title win means more than becoming the challenger.
Oddly, with all the invasions and Survivor Series build, no MVPs were from outside their brand this week. Perhaps next week will see Raw, SmackDown or NXT step up and take charge as a unified roster instead of any individuals stealing the show.
