FedEx Cup Standings 2018: Latest Rankings Before BMW Championship
The golf world shifts its focus to Aronimink Golf Club Thursday as the third leg of the FedEx Cup begins outside of Philadelphia.
After the BMW Championship, the field of 70 players will be trimmed to 30 qualifiers for the Tour Championship.
In addition to playing for spots in the season finale, there are a handful of American players who will try to make one final case to be the last player named to the United States Ryder Cup squad.
Bryson DeChambeau leads the FedEx Cup standings following his back-to-back wins, while Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose, Tony Finau and Justin Thomas complete the top five.
Tiger Woods is one of many golfers looking to hold on to his spot in the top 30, along with Jordan Spieth and Hideki Matsuyama, while Brandt Snedeker and Rafa Cabrera Bello are a few of the golfers on the outside looking in at the top 30 as the tournament starts.

DeChambeau Looking For 3rd Straight Victory
Two of DeChambeau's four career victories have come in the last two weeks.
The 24-year-old American shot seven rounds in the 60s to clinch the titles at The Northern Trust and Dell Technologies Championship.

As a reward for his play, DeChambeau holds an overwhelming lead on top of the FedEx Cup standings and was named to the United States Ryder Cup team Tuesday.
Although he's accomplished more than anyone expected during the first two legs of the FedEx Cup, DeChambeau hasn't secured the overall title yet.
What he has done is put himself in position to qualify for the Tour Championship as the No. 1 player in the FedEx Cup playoffs, which comes with an advantage even after the remaining 30 players get reseeded on points after Sunday.
Since he holds a lead of over 2,300 points in the standings, DeChambeau can take more risks as he goes for his third consecutive tournament crown.
Barring a complete drop off in form, the 24-year-old will qualify for the Tour Championship, and with a Ryder Cup berth already in hand, DeChambeau should play with the least amount of pressure of any golfer at the BMW Championship.
Which Ryder Cup Contenders Will Thrive at BMW?
One spot on the United States Ryder Cup team remains up for grabs after captain Jim Furyk named DeChambeau, Woods and Phil Mickelson to the team Tuesday.
With one last opportunity to impress Furyk this weekend, players like Finau and Kevin Kisner will be playing for much more than a tournament title.
Finau, who sits fourth in the FedEx Cup standings, seems like the favorite to earn the 12th and final roster spot with the resume he's put together in 2018.

The 28-year-old has three top 10 finishes in majors plus back-to-back top five results in the FedEx Cup, and he needs one more solid tournament to complete his case to Furyk.
While Finau is in a comfortable position in the FedEx Cup standings, Snedeker and Kisner will be playing to make the top 30 while attempting to impress Furyk.
Kisner impressed with a second-place finish at The Open and a tie for 12th at the PGA Championship, but he's produced scattered results since, including a tie for 73rd at The Northern Trust.
Snedeker, who is two positions beneath the top 30, finished the Dell Technologies Championship strong with weekend rounds in the 60s, and he's finished in the top 10 in three of his last six tournaments.
Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are two other players hoping to shine in front of Furyk, but it feels like Finau is the favorite to earn the final captain's pick.
That could change at Aronimink, but in order to sway Furyk's mind, the Ryder Cup hopefuls must produce one of the best tournaments of their careers.
