EPL Table: Friday's Week 37 Results, Scores and 2018 Premier League Standings
Brighton & Hove Albion confirmed their Premier League safety in style on Friday night, as they upset a lacklustre Manchester United 1-0 at the Amex Stadium.
In the first period, Brighton were on top, as a string of excellent saves from David De Gea kept them out. After the break, Pascal Gross gave Brighton the goal they deserved; in response, Jose Mourinho's side offered little.
Later this weekend the battle is on in the race to stay afloat in the Premier League. Stoke City host Crystal Palace in the first match of Saturday. Swansea City visit Bournemouth, while Southampton make the trip to Everton in another crucial match on Saturday. On Sunday, struggling Huddersfield Town make the trip to Manchester City.

Friday Recap
The early stages of the contest saw the home side well on top, as they were buoyed by the home support.
Alex Shaw of ESPN FC was critical of what had been a pretty turgid 45 minutes from Mourinho's side:
After the break, Brighton continued to press and it didn't take them long to get their goal.
Jose Izquierdo scampered to the byline and pulled the ball back to Gross, whose effort initially appeared to have been cleared off the line. However, as we can see courtesy of Sky Sports PL, the ball just crept in:
With no Romelu Lukaku or Alexis Sanchez in the squad, Mourinho had limited options on the bench to turn this one back in his side's favour. Despite showing more intent on the ball, opportunities were minimal for United.
The best chance for the visitors came after sharp work from Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard, with the latter steering his shot wide from inside the area. But it was Brighton's night, as they booked another season in the top flight following their promotion last season.
The loss for United gives Tottenham and Liverpool a chance to close the gap to second place over the weekend; the Red Devils lead Liverpool by five points and Spurs, who have played a game less, by six.
Weekend Preview

Southampton's win over Bournemouth a week ago blew open the race to stay afloat in the Premier League. This weekend, it'll be their turn to respond to their rivals.
For Stoke there is no room to manoeuvre, as they need to beat Palace in the early kick-off to ensure they have any chance of staying up. This is their penultimate game, and the Potters have three points to make up.
As noted by the Wizards of Drivel Twitter account, their relegation could be confirmed two days after the 10-year anniversary of their promotion to the top flight:
If Stoke can muster three points, that piles the pressure on Swansea, who will head to Bournemouth, with Southampton and potentially Paul Lambert's side breathing down their necks.
Carlos Carvalhal gave the club a major boost when he first arrived at the Liberty Stadium. Lately, results have taken a turn and they're now six games without a win. But with this clash with the Cherries followed by meetings with Southampton and Stoke at home, they'll still feel confident about their prospects.
ITV's Guto Llewelyn was frustrated by the performance turned in from the loss to Chelsea last weekend:
Southampton's main rivals will have played by the time they take to the field against Everton, while Huddersfield's torrid run-in starts at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. After this meeting with the champions, they go to Chelsea and host Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Chelsea host Liverpool, knowing only a win will be enough to keep their slender hopes of a top-four finish alive.
