Golden State Warriors shooting guard Patrick McCaw has been diagnosed with a lumbosacral bone bruise and will miss at least the next four weeks, the team announced Thursday.

McCaw suffered the injury when he was inadvertently undercut by Vince Carter during the Warriors' 112-96 win over the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center on March 31:

According to the club, McCaw's playing status for the playoffs has not yet been determined and "will be predicated on his progress and the length of the postseason."

Prior to hitting the shelf, McCaw averaged 4.0 points, 1.4 assists and 1.4 rebounds on 40.9 percent shooting in 16.9 minutes per game.

As things stand, the Warriors will be without him and point guard Stephen Curry for the first round of the playoffs. After Curry was diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL sprain, head coach Steve Kerr said there was "no way" he would see the floor for the Western Conference quarterfinals, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole

That leaves Quinn Cook, Shaun Livingston, Klay Thompson and Nick Young as the Warriors' top four guards.
