Bob Myers Pitches LeBron James on Joining 76ers in Video with Rich Paul amid NBA Rumors

Bob Myers laid out his sales pitch to LeBron James while appearing on the podcast from the 22-time All-Star's agent, Rich Paul.

On Game Over, the show co-hosted by Paul and Max Kellerman, Myers argued the Philadelphia 76ers provide James with his best opportunity to win a fifth NBA title:

James' free agency has undoubtedly been a boon to Paul's podcast. The experienced agent is using the forum to explain why LeBron left the Los Angeles Lakers and discuss where he might play next.

For Myers, who's the president of sports for the 76ers' ownership group, going on Game Over might actually be the most straightforward way to appeal to James.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported earlier this week LeBron has been very secretive about free agency, and Marc Stein of The Stein Line said it's unclear whether he'll even take any meetings. Teams might have to go entirely through Paul.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Sixers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat have separated themselves in the race for the surefire Hall of Famer.

The idea of Philly contending for a championship in 2026-27 would've been a tough sell in the immediate aftermath of the 2026 playoffs. A second-round sweep to the New York Knicks was a sobering outcome.

Acquiring Jaylen Brown has dramatically altered the organization's short-term outlook. A starting lineup that features Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe is pretty imposing, and Brown's presence raises the Sixers' floor when Embiid is resting or out injured.

Throw James into the mix and Philadelphia climbs higher up the Eastern Conference hierarchy.

Maybe the 76ers wouldn't be the favorite to win the 2027 Finals, but they'd certainly be in the mix. That might be enough to win LeBron over.
