D'Angelo Russell Sends Warning to NBA After Landing with Grizzlies in 6-Team Trade
After being sent to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a six-team trade, veteran point guard D'Angelo Russell will be on his fifth different team in the last three years.
However, Russell hasn't lost any motivation ahead of his 12th NBA season, as he put the rest of the league on notice in a social media message.
"No matter where you send me I'm still dangerous," Russell wrote in an Instagram comment.

Ranking NBA's Worst Contracts š
Russell started the 2024-25 season with the Los Angeles Lakers before being traded to the Brooklyn Nets. He then signed a two-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks, who traded him to the Washington Wizards at the Feb. 5 deadline. He didn't play for the Wizards while awaiting a contract buyout, and they opted to ship him to the Grizzlies on Tuesday as part of an elaborate multi-team deal.
Russell will be one of the veterans on a young Memphis team that is entering a new era after trading star point guard Ja Morant to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Grizzlies selected big man Cameron Boozer with the No. 3 pick in the 2026 draft, and he will take over as the future face of the franchise.
Still, it sounds like Russell is confident in his ability to produce for the Grizzlies next season, so he will try to revive his career during the 2026-27 campaign.
