Jamie Vardy gave the visitors some hope with an equaliser midway through the first half, but City dominated at the Etihad Stadium and easily grabbed the win.
Raheem Sterling had opened the scoring before Vardy struck, but a five-minute brace from Aguero put the Sky Blues back in control, this time for good. All three goals came off assists from Kevin De Bruyne, who put together another passing clinic.
Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe was impressed with the passing of the Belgian:
Aguero completed his hat-trick after 77 minutes and added a fourth goal shortly before full-time, firing City to yet another win.
Spurs and Arsenal played out the most anticipated clash of the day, and while the final score of the north London derby suggested a close contest, the Mirror's John Cross thought it wasn't:
The hosts were the better team before the break and improved even more in the second half, but they failed to find a second goal after Kane gave them the lead. Their wastefulness in front of goal almost cost them dearly as Alexandre Lacazette missed a great chance late.
The result leaves Arsenal seven points behind their rivals and well outside the top four, but manager Arsene Wenger isn't ready to prioritise the UEFA Europa League just yet, per James Olley of the Evening Standard:
At Goodison Park, Everton bounced back from the heavy defeat against Arsenal with a win over Crystal Palace courtesy of goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson, Oumar Niasse and Theo Walcott. Luka Milivojevic scored for the Eagles.
Per BT Sport Score, manager Sam Allardyce may have unlocked the secret to success for the Toffees:
Swansea continued their fine run with a win over Burnley, their third win in four league matches, and Brighton earned a hard-fought point at Stoke City.
