The victory was Krzyzewski's 1,073rd as a head coach dating back to his five-year tenure at Army from 1975-80.
Coach K is already the winningest head coach in Division I men's basketball history, with Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim as the only other member of the 1,000-win club.
With five national titles already under his belt, Krzyzewski's career resume stacks up against the best coaches in basketball history. He holds the NCAA record for most career appearances in the Final Four (12) and NCAA tournament games won (91).
At 70 years old, Krzyzewski is showing no signs of slowing down. His Blue Devils started the 2017-18 season ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll, and they just landed RJ Barrett, the best recruit in next year's freshman class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.
