The Worst Game Ever Played?
For those of you who missed the barn burner that was the Kansas City Chiefs at the Washington Redskins about half way through the third quarter there were "technical difficulties."
Were there really?
I mean, aside from the few sacks the Redskins and Chiefs got, as well as a couple of exciting runs from Clinton Portis and Larry Johnson the game had been a low scoring snooze fest.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I am a firm believer that Rodger Goodall, NFL Commissioner, said "You know what, enough is enough. We cannot embarrass this league anymore. Pull the plug!"
With the shouting and zeal from the Commish CBS obliged.
James Brown (no, not the God Father of soul, sadly he dancing around in the clouds, I hope) of the CBS football team came on to inform the viewer of the "technical difficulties" they were having and would send us to Minnesota for the game between the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings.
I swear I could hear him snickering as he said the words "technical difficulties."
I was waiting for some sort of excuse like a badger got into the CBS truck and started chewing on wires.
I honestly thought my Sunday was saved. I thought I wasn't going to have to subject myself to watching the Redskins play like a junior varsity football team.
Scratch that, that would be a disrespect to J.V. teams everywhere. At least they take pride in what they do.
However, I would not be so lucky as right before the fourth quarter begin the badger (I guess) was chased out of the truck and some handy guy got out a roll of duck tape so Redskin and Chief fans everywhere could lose their Sunday all over again.
A quick side not on CBS's coverage. Did Al Davis buy CBS? What did Rich Gannon do to deserve having to call this game?
Maybe he owns the badger?
I have to wonder if teams can just forfeit the rest of the season. If it is indeed possible both these teams should consider it.
I honestly didn't think one could obtain physical pain from watching television. I was wrong.
This isn't just because I'm a Redskins fan. The hurt comes from just being a football fan in general. I've seen pee-wee football teams that are more organized than these two.
Best line of the Day, "The Chiefs are controlling the clock, keeping that Redskins offense off the field."
Who are the Redskins? The way Gannon said it he made it sound like Payton Manning had flown down to Maryland as if he owed Dan Synder a favor.
The best chance for the Chiefs are the Redskins having the ball.
Their offense isn't moving the ball, and when the offense of the Redskins takes the field who knows what is going to happen.
Second best line of the day came right before the safety, it was Gannon again while referring to Jim Zorn's play sheet.
"There aren't a lot of plays on that sheet designed for this situation."
Well my answer to that is that there aren't a lot of plays on that sheet for any situation.
Well it ends 14-6 with another safety. I'll to look into the record books to see if a team has ever given up safeties in back to back weeks.
I said this after the Detroit game, if Jim Zorn still has a job next week I'll be surprised.
