Live-Stream/TV Info: Liverpool's full pre-season will be broadcast through LFCTV, as shared by the club:
Preview
Liverpool will take a step up in competition after wins over Crystal Palace and Leicester City in the Premier League Asia Trophy, with Bayern and one of Napoli or Atletico Madrid on the schedule in the Audi Cup.
In between, the Reds face Hertha, their first match on German soil after several days in the country. Manager Jurgen Klopp gave a brief outline of what the team will do in his native land:
For both clubs, this friendly is about finding rhythm, routine and fitness ahead of the 2017-18 campaign. Winning would be nice, but learning about your squad―and especially your fringe players―is far more important.
Summer signing Andrew Robertson is expected to feature for his debut with the Reds. The former Hull City man completed his transfer earlier this month, so fans are likely anxious to see him in action for the first time.
He's already worked at endearing himself to the Reds faithful:
Emre Can has returned after time away due to international commitments, and he could also feature.
Per the club's official Twitter account, the attack received a boost with the return of Danny Ings and Sadio Mane from injury. It could prove risky to push them into action immediately, so Klopp will have to manage their minutes or opt to keep them sidelined for now.
Liverpool's defenders won't have to worry about former RB Leipzig forward and Germany Under-21 standout Davie Selke. As reported by DW Sports, he suffered an injury and will miss the rest of pre-season:
Hertha will still field plenty of young talent, however, and Liverpool's scouts could work overtime. Niklas Stark has been known as a top prospect in defence and midfield for some time now, and new arrival Karim Rekik will hope to wipe away the memories of his awful showing against Anker Wismar, where he got sent off after just nine minutes.
Other players to watch include Ondrej Duda and Sinan Kurt.
