Real Madrid Transfer News: David De Gea Reportedly Won't Move to Los Blancos
Real Madrid have reportedly decided they will not pursue Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea this summer.
According to Jose Felix Diaz of Marca, Los Blancos are ready to put their trust in Keylor Navas instead of spending around €75 million (£65 million) to sign the Spain international. De Gea has been strongly linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu since a move fell through in the summer of 2015.
Diaz had earlier reported that Madrid were hoping to see a swift solution to the transfer saga, and it seems as though the La Liga side have made a final decision.

The news will be a boost to Manchester United supporters, who may have been concerned their star stopper would be on the move this summer.
During his time at Old Trafford, De Gea has developed from a rangy and erratic goalkeeper into a thoroughbred No. 1. The former Atletico Madrid man is rated as the best in his position in the Premier League and is certainly among the best in the world.
These numbers from Squawka Football sum up just how vital he has been:
Indeed, the standards De Gea continues to set make links to Madrid, now back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners, natural.
Although Los Blancos are in possession of so many star players all over the pitch, the club are synonymous with signing the best footballers on the planet. As aforementioned, De Gea is someone who falls into that category.
Navas, while he was a key part of Madrid's success this season, has never reached the same heights. The Costa Rican international pulls off remarkable saves at times, although his command of the penalty area and decision-making can quicken pulses of Madridistas.
As noted by Dermot Corrigan of ESPN FC, even during Madrid's 4-1 win over Juventus in the Champions League final, there were questions about the 'keeper:
Still, getting De Gea out of United would seemingly be a costly exercise, even for a club as flush as Real. And given goalkeepers of such class are difficult to find, it'd be no surprise if the Red Devils dug their heels in deep in the face of any pursuit.
Madrid fans may be disappointed not to see De Gea on the club's transfer agenda this summer, although in Navas, they have a man that's been part of one of the team's most successful recent eras. For all the merits of the United man, there aren't many clubs around who can call on a goalkeeper as productive as the Costa Rican.
