Liverpool Transfer News: Latest on Mamadou Sakho, Keita Balde Diao Rumours
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish believes Liverpool's £30 million price tag for Mamadou Sakho means the Eagles won't be able to sign the defender, while the Reds are being linked with Lazio star Keita Balde Diao following reports rivals Roma rejected an offer for Mohamed Salah.
As reported by Kristian Walsh of the Liverpool Echo, Parish believes the Reds will price Palace out of the market for Sakho, with the club reportedly looking for £30 million:
"I think that is going to be a very difficult one for us to do. I think Liverpool want a big number for him.

"That is a tough one to make happen on a permanent basis. We need to look at the budgets and be realistic."

Sakho moved to south London in February after a falling out with manager Jurgen Klopp, and he immediately improved the Eagles significantly. Sakho was arguably among the Premier League's best defenders in the final months of the season, boosting his value in the process.
It still appears he has no future at Anfield, but thanks to his upturn in fortunes, Liverpool are now in a position to receive a hefty fee for his services. Their negotiating position is two-sided, as clubs are also aware the Reds are keen on a sale.

Elsewhere, both the Times and Daily Mail (h/t ESPN FC's Glenn Rice) have reported Roma have rejected an offer for Salah, leading to rumours linking another Serie A winger with a move to Anfield.
Balde, who is widely expected to leave the club after a breakout season, has reportedly been watched for some time by the Merseyside club. With his contract running out next season, he could be a bargain signing in comparison to Salah.
The Senegal international has also been linked with Juventus and AC Milan, with the Bianconeri said to lead the way, according to the Mail's Matt Barlow. Here's a look at the player these clubs are vying over:
The speedster has plenty of raw tools and displayed better vision and work rate in the 2016-17 campaign, compared to earlier in his career.
Per Rice, a contract extension with Lazio seems unlikely―Balde has dropped plenty of hints he wishes to leave in the past. David Amoyal of Gianluca Di Marzio weighed in on the situation:
Stealing a Serie A star away from the Old Lady is never easy, but there likely would be more minutes available at Anfield in the immediate future for Balde. It's an advantage the Reds could use if a move for the more experienced Salah falls through.
