Scotland vs. Brazil: 2017 Toulon Tournament Live Stream, Schedule and Prediction

Christopher SimpsonJun 1, 2017

Brazil will look to continue their winning start at the 2017 Toulon Tournament with another three points against Scotland on Saturday.

The Selecao will take on the Scots at the Stade Parsemain, Fos-sur-Mer, France after easing past Indonesia 1-0 on Wednesday.

By contrast, Scotland lost 3-2 in a close match with the Czech Republic, so they will be desperate to keep alive their hopes of a place in the knockout stage.

Date: Saturday, June 3

Time: 4:30 p.m. BST/11:30 a.m. ET

Eight-time Toulon winners Brazil, who did not compete in the 2015 and 2016 editions of the tournament, kicked off their campaign with the result they needed as they dispatched a resilient Indonesia side.

Gabriel Novaes made the difference with a first-half strike, per the tournament's official website:

The forward struck from close range after Indonesian goalkeeper Muhammad Riyandi had spilled a dipping long-range strike from full-back Emerson into his path.

Brazil could have won more comfortably, but Riyandi made amends for his earlier mistake with a fine save to deny substitute Juninho.

Meanwhile, Scotland, who are making their first appearance at Toulon since 1997, slipped to defeat against the Czechs.

The Scots are captained by RB Leipzig forward Oliver Burke, and he wasted little time in showing his quality, per ESPN's Mark Donaldson:

He would later add a second from the penalty spot to pull Scotland level after the Czech Republic scored twice either side of half-time, but Martin Graiciar's strike on the hour-mark consigned them to defeat.

With Burke in strong form, the Scots are capable of causing Brazil some problems at the back—more than Indonesia managed at any rate.

It wasn't a vintage performance from Brazil, but it was of little surprise the group took time to acclimate against a settled side that have been playing and training together for over a month.

The Selecao could be a little more fluid on the ball when they take on Scotland, who didn't convince defensively in their opening match.

If they are, they could edge what may well be another close contest in southern France.

Prediction: Scotland 1-2 Brazil
