IPL Results 2017: Scores, Points Table, Schedule and More After April 29 Fixture
Mumbai Indians moved level at the top of the 2017 Indian Premier League Twenty20 table on Saturday as they defeated Gujarat Lions in a Super Over showdown after tying with 153 runs apiece in regulation.
Jasprit Bumrah bowled the visitors to their seventh victory of the 2017 campaign after allowing Gujarat only two runs in the Super Over, while Parthiv Patel's opening score of 70 pushed Mumbai to a successful chase.
Earlier in the day, Rising Pune Supergiant improved their chances of sealing a future in the play-offs after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 61 runs to move back into fourth in the standings.
Pune's fifth win of the 2017 season pulled them back into the top half of the table as Bangalore suffered a third consecutive defeat—their seventh of the campaign—despite playing more matches (10) than any other team.

Recap
The Lions came within a run of sealing a win against Mumbai and breathing new life into their play-off hopes, but Bumrah's bowling majesty in the Super Over saw the Indians through by five runs with a last-ditch defence in overtime.
Gujarat won the toss and elected to bat, with Ishan Kishan ending up their top run-scorer with 48. Krunal Pandya's 29 aided the away team in their chase, tying the hosts' 153 at the end of their innings.
The two teams went to a Super Over, and cricket statistician Rajneesh Gupta illustrated precisely why Bumrah was nominated for Man of the Match honours for his display during those final stages:
The bowler might have taken the spotlight with that late performance, but Pandya was elected Man of the Match for his consistency across the board.
Per ESPNcricinfo, he said: "I feel I'm an all-rounder, to contribute with bat, ball and in the field. The wicket wasn't easy, that you go in and hit big shots straightaway. About making sure we bat till the 20th over. When it was 2 ball, 2 runs, I tried for a big shot, but I had a chat with Malinga that I'll not go for a big shot."
The Lions are left with three wins after nine games, and they'll need bottom side Delhi Daredevils to snatch a win against Kings XI Punjab on Sunday to prevent the latter from leapfrogging them in the standings.
At Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune sent Bangalore packing after a whimpering chase attempt from the travelling team failed to cut the hosts down despite Virat Kohli's match-high score of 55 runs.
Supergiant elected to bat first and took the initiative as Steve Smith (45), Rahul Tripathi (37) and Manoj Tiwary (44) combined for 126 runs between them, a response Bangalore could not match, per ESPNcricinfo:
Captain Kohli not only led the Royal Challengers attack with 55 from 48 balls, but he was the only Royal Challengers player to score in the double digits or face more than 12 balls.
He spoke to the media after Saturday's embarrassing defeat, wherein he suggested his side are "pretty much" no longer in the race for a play-off place, per ESPNcricinfo.com:
"I think it's for everyone to see we lost that game. It's hard for a captain to stand here and speak after a performance like this. But got to learn and move on from these kind of experiences. We lost the game rather than them winning it. Could be a few reasons, expectations, people looking at us as a good batting side that made the Playoffs last year. Can't really pinpoint something - could be hesitation to get out, to get runs. We are pretty much not in the race for the Playoffs, all we can do is enjoy the four remaining games.
"
That's a difficult reality for Bangalore to accept considering they finished as runners-up in 2016, but another poor batting performance from head coach Daniel Vettori's men condemned them to a seventh loss of the year.
Kohli yet again demonstrated his individual qualities, but as long as the rest of the squad continue to fall so far short of his standards, the Royal Challengers look set to watch this season's play-offs from home.
