Ike Anigbogu Declares for 2017 NBA Draft, Hires Agent After 1 Season at UCLA

Ike Anigbogu is headed to the NBA after one season with the UCLA Bruins.ย 

Anigbogu posed for a picture with NBA agent Jason Glushon on Thursday. The tweet from Glushon Sports Management "welcomed Anigbogu into its clientele...effectively ending his career as a Bruin," Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Timesย wrote.

Anigbogu played just 13 minutes per game as a freshman and posted averages of 4.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks a night. He scored just six total points in UCLA's three NCAA tournament games, all of which came in its second-round victory over Cincinnati.

The numbers don't jump out, but he possesses the upside to develop into a defensive impact player at the next level as a 6'10" rim protector.

Bleacher Reportโ€™sย Jonathan Wassermanย projected Anigbogu to go No. 28 in his most recent mock draft and pointed to the defensive upside thanks to his "long arms, athleticism and 3.7 blocks per 40 minutes."
