WWE SmackDown: Burning Questions to Address After April 11 Show
The aftershocks of the Superstar Shake-up on Tuesday's WWE SmackDown are still rumbling.
A night after Raw added a wealth of fresh talent, the blue brand did the same. Kevin Owens, Charlotte Flair and The New Day all came aboard.
Even with all the roster's parts now in place, though, there are plenty of questions left to answer.

Can The New Day be the saviors of the SmackDown tag team scene? What's the plan for Mojo Rawley and Lana? And is AJ Styles set to settle into a midcard role?
There are unknowns surrounding every championship picture. The roles of many Team Blue newcomers aren't yet clear.
Read on as we dive into all those issues, trying to make sense of what's unfolding on the new look SmackDown.
Can The New Day Revive Tag Team Division?
For too long, the SmackDown tag team division has lacked depth. The Usos and American Alpha didn't have enough quality foes to take on. Breezango remained vastly underutilized, needing viable foils of their own.
To make things worse, WWE released Simon Gotch of The Vaudevillains last week, and the duo of Heath Slater and Rhyno moved to Raw. The arrival of The Shining Stars early on Tuesday's SmackDown did little to counter those losses.
The high-energy trio of Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods are on their way, however, as WWE announced on Tuesday night.
The New Day won't be at full strength for a while thanks to Kingston suffering an ankle injury. Still, the tag team division is bolstered by the team's presence.
Bleacher Report writer and Ring Rust Radio host Mike Chiari pointed out the importance of SmackDown nabbing The New Day:
Suddenly, SmackDown can now pit The Usos against The New Day or allow Breezango to blossom in a story alongside the former tag team champs. Even so, it doesn't feel like the blue brand didn't make enough moves to fully get the blue brand's tag team scene out of the hole.
SmackDown is one quality duo away from thriving in that department.
If Luke Harper and Erick Rowan reunited, they could fill that void. Otherwise, bringing up Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa from NXT is a smart option.
How High Will WWE Push Mojo?
Rawley scored another victory. The winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal outlasted new SmackDown arrival Jinder Mahal on Tuesday.
And just like at WrestleMania, Rawley had NFL star Rob Gronkowski at his side to help him. Gronk tossed a drink in Mahal's face. The distraction helped Rawley topple the heel.
Was this just a means to get Gronk another moment? Is Rawley on a real roll? How highly does WWE think of the hyped powerhouse?
Considering the wealth of talent the blue brand boasts, from Shinsuke Nakamura to Sami Zayn, it's hard to imagine a scenario where Rawley makes it to the top of the card. He's too one-dimensional to be a major player for the company.
He does have a prototypical look, though. WWE historically likes guys with size and a football background.
We will soon find out how much the company values his strengths as he either piles on more wins or cools off in the coming weeks.
What Will a Repackaged Lana Look Like?
Lana and Rusev are both headed to SmackDown, but it's far from clear what version of The Ravishing Russian we're getting.
A vignette aired on Tuesday night that showed Lana dancing in a red dress. This looked to be a preview of a new gimmick.
Is she set to do a Fandango-like act? Is WWE going to tease us with a change, only to have second thoughts as it did with Emma's makeover that never materialized?
NASCAR writer Kelly Crandall asked some other key questions:
Lana has been working at NXT to improve her in-ring skills. The vignette didn't even mention Rusev. And when SmackDown announced his arrival, she was not brought up.
The signs are pointing to a Lana solo run as a wrestler. That's such an odd move considering how good she was as a manager.
At least, the women's division will have some fresh blood if things turn out that way.
How Long Will Styles Stay at the U.S. Title Level?
Entering 2017, The Phenomenal One was the WWE champ and the king of SmackDown. After the Payback pay-per-view on April 30, he will be fighting for the United States Championship.
Styles earned the No. 1 contender's spot by beating Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin on Tuesday's SmackDown. He now awaits the winner of Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho to get his crack at the midcard title.
That's a surprising turn of events.
Is Styles going to settle in on a lower rung on the company ladder? Is WWE trying to elevate the U.S. title by involving him? Will he only briefly battle on this part of the card before jetting back up to the main event?
WWE would be crazy to not make Styles one of SmackDown's centerpieces, regardless of what gold he's after. He's been one of the popular stars on the roster over the past year. And no one has touched him in terms of in-ring performance.
Giving him the Dolph Ziggler treatment would be a mistake. SmackDown needs to be Styles' show while he remains such a hot commodity.
