IPL Results 2017: Indians vs. Knight Riders Score, Revised Table and Schedule
Mumbai Indians gave their home fans an unlikely win to celebrate with a late comeback against Kolkata Knight Riders in Twenty20 cricket action on Sunday, winning by four wickets with a single ball remaining in the Indian Premier League.
Kolkata had masterfully defended their modest total and taken care of Mumbai's biggest stars in the chase, but at 119 for five in the 17th over, things went horribly wrong. Hardik Pandya scored 29 for 11, and Nitish Rana added 50 for 29 as Mumbai overcame a 59-run deficit on the last 23 deliveries.
Here's a look at what that result means for the standings:

Mumbai Indians vs. Kolkata Knight Riders
Indians, 180 for six (Rana 50, Patel 30) defeat Knight Riders, 178 for seven (Pandey 81, Lynn 32) by four wickets (with one ball remaining).
Knight Riders fans went through something of a rollercoaster ride on Sunday, as the visitors appeared to dig a hole in the first innings, fought back with a masterful bowling performance to grab the advantage and gave it all away in the end.
As shared by sports writer Freddie Wilde, their total of 178 wasn't nearly enough given the history of the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai:
Gautam Gambhir (19 for 13) and Chris Lynn (32 for 24) got the innings off to an OK start, and Manish Pandey added to the total with a brilliant knock, finishing with an unbeaten 81. Kolkata failed to find a suitable partner, however, and bowlers Krunal Pandya and Lasith Malinga feasted.

In the end, the target of 179 seemed manageable for a talented and explosive group of batsmen, but Mumbai soon fell behind the required run rate.
Rana, Jos Buttler (28 for 22) and Parthiv Patel (30 for 27) all added to the total, but the rate had to increase.
Rohit Sharma managed just two from six before his nemesis Sunil Narine struck, per Wilde:
Kieron Pollard was also dismissed rapidly, and by the 17th over, Mumbai's chase seemed desperate. Pandya stepped up to the crease and delivered, however, taking advantage of the wet pitch and resulting fielding errors to pull his team across the line with just a ball to spare.
The win is Mumbai's first of the season and could prove vital, as the upcoming schedule for Indians is brutal. They'll face Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next two matches, two teams that have high hopes for the play-offs this season. Hyderabad are the defending champions, beating Bangalore in last year's final.
