Lukaku has been in sensational form of late and continued his hot streak against the defending champions with a brace.
As shared by Bleacher Report UK, his first goal continued a remarkable run at Goodison Park:
The Belgian tied things up at 2-2 and struck again in the second half, part of a six-goal spectacle that entertained the neutrals. Tom Davies opened the scoring before Islam Slimani and Marc Albrighton gave the advantage to the visitors, who entered the match on a run of five straight league wins.
Lukaku did his thing in the 23rd minute, and Phil Jagielka restored the hosts' lead before half-time. Everton put some distance between themselves and the Foxes when Lukaku struck again just before the hour mark.
Per BBC's Match of the Day, the 23-year-old's scoring record this season is all the more impressive when compared to that of Middlesbrough:
Ibrahimovic's goal in United's routine win was the first of the match, a beautiful strike from the edge of the box after a lovely turn. Former England international Gary Lineker loved it:
Per United's official Twitter account, the Swede described the goal from his perspective:
The Red Devils were never troubled, as Black Cats manager David Moyes and his squad suffered yet another disappointing defeat. Sebastian Larsson was sent off after Ibrahimovic's opener, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford added more goals to the scoreline.
The two results leave United in fifth place and Everton in seventh, with three points separating the two. The duo are likely to qualify for the UEFA Europa league through the Premier League, as the four semi-finalists for the FA Cup also sit in the top seven.
United can still qualify for the UEFA Champions League by winning the Europa League or pass rivals Manchester City and others with a strong run to end the season.
