WrestleZone.com remains in shock seeing the Hardys in a WWE ring:
Raw women's champion Bayley reminisced about her days emulating the Hardys:
The Hardys' return to WWE was one of the biggest surprises from WrestleMania 33 Sunday night. While the two brothers were free agents after departing Impact Wrestling, few expected them to show up at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
A big question about the Hardy Boyz is how much of the "Broken" universe they created in Impact Wrestling will be going with them to WWE. The Hardys and Impact Wrestling are locked in a legal dispute over who owns the creative rights to the gimmick.
The Hardy Boyz already have a long history with WWE, so it wouldn't be all that surprising if the "Broken" universe largely goes without being mentioned on WWE programming.
It would undoubtedly be disappointing, though, if Matt and Jeff are unable to embrace the unique characters that have spurred their career renaissances.
The tag team scene on Raw had grown stale heading into WrestleMania. With a lack of depth in the division, fans grew tired of seeing the same four teams cross paths ever week on Raw.
The New Day, Enzo and Cass, Gallow and Anderson and Cesaro and Sheamus are all talented teams, but WWE had essentially told all of the stories it could with those groups.
That's why the addition of the Hardys is such a big shot in the arm, and The Revival finally made the jump from NXT, bringing one of the best tag teams in the world to Raw. In the space of a few days, the tag team division went from a major weakness to a huge strength on WWE's flagship show.
